Someone had to make it. Westerns have been a part vital part of film as long as film has been around. Starting with The Great Train Robbery, the genre has captured the imaginations of many viewers and refused to let go. It inspired and help spawn many genres along with questioning the morality of the late 1800s. Talk and debate your favorite westerns, western characters, and quotes.

This will involve anything westerns and be filled with good bad and ugliest characters ever to grace the silver screen. Its just too bad that westerns are seen as Hallmark worthy films only these days.
Hard to believe westerns are not being explored seriously for they created Eastwood, The Duke and many great legends and made them icons.
Message to Coens don't mess up True Grit please.

A very sad and powerful "end of an era" Western, with two great performances by Western Icons Randolph Scott and Joel Mc Crea. Also a strong precursor to "Unforgiven".
(And almost anything with Warren Oates in it's got my votet:.)

All the westerns mentioned are great, but I just wanna say that the final shootout in 3:10 to Yuma the remake is one of the finest I've seen on film of any genre. Also Open Range's final shootout had a bad ass beginning to it, ah man I love it.
