The Goth Girl Scene

I am not disturbed nor annoyed by the scene, then i vote IN.

The actress who played Goth Girl has become well known in Melbourne, recently, for being on a god-awful comedy show.
When GR screens here in Melbourne, if the scene is in the movie, the audience, I feel, will be put off by her. I know I will be.
That's why I've voted "no."

The show that girl is in is painful to watch but I don't think I will mind as long as she is only in ghost rider for that short scene. If you have to cut anything for the film though by all means cut that first.

If it flows with the story...leave it in. If it doesn't take it out. Don't just leave it in for laughs and don't just take it out either.

Only if in the scene she sees him its really funny.

remove it....

unless its used in good context or w/e.....

I say leave it in, it's kind of funny, alittle lame maybe but funny to me.

At this point , id be bummed if she wasnt in it. Shes taken a life of here own on these boards. I think she needs a fan site. All goth all the time. Mabe a goth girl countdown site. Or a t-shirt of her wearing her "I leave bite marks" t-shirt. *****, I wish i had the time to create a GR goth girl myspace page... Any takers????

I'm not so sure anything will be added or cut from this movie any further at this point. I would assume they have a picture lock with just final details happening now. I'm only guessin' though.

Anyway, Here's what I posted in the other thread...

Well, I think it's pretty much confirmed; I'm the only one who likes the Goth Girl bit... and it's probably because I don't look at it as a goth girl bit. I'm trying to picture what else that scene is being used for, besides the something light in a dark world. What I think about most is that it could very well be one of the first times we're reintroduced to Roxanne after the time passes. It could be being used to show the audience that she is now that 'go getting reporter... who knows?

Besides, what's so bad about it? I mean, it's funny. Nobody else sees it as funny? I mean, somebody out there would have that reaction to seeing Ghost Rider for the first time, not knowing he's a demon.... and Eva's reaction to the comments is priceless.

I like it and I think when we get it in full context (if it's in the movie...), it'll appear less offensive to those (all) who don't like it. Then again, I may hate it in full context, who knows?

Hey, FH!
Man, it´s funny, no doubts about it. But maybe that´s exactly what´s wrong. "Light in a dark world". Why?
Honestly, a GR movie doesn´t need it. Not this kind of scene.
Let me explain it with some exemples.
The Crow, for me the best movie ever. It haven´t a scene like that. The movie is dark, gothic, hard and beautiful. It has the right dose of light and shadows, without scenes like that.
Blade, the 2nd best movie ever, doesn´t need it either.
I want GR with Blade & Crow kind of vibe, u know?
It´s how it works for me, anyway.
And besides, come on, the girl is horrible.
Hurts my eyes.
Put a kid in the same interview. Sounds better and lighter even.
The effect will be more powerful. A innocent angel talking about an avenging demon.
Think about it...
GR4EVR!!!

I don't see why it's a problem. GR comics always had a little humor on occasion. Not Spider-Man level but there was an occasion joke here and there. So why can't the GR movie have a funny scene? You make it too dark and dreary and you'll end up depressing people instead of entertaining them.
This is a Marvel movie. Little jokes like this are almost a trademark of Marvel so I say keep it.

The fact that people voted yes to keep that crap in the movie is astonishing? Hey! People are laughing at the trailer thanks to that crap!

Get it out! This is what is keeping me from hyping the film. The horrible humor.

Hey man, I can totally understand where you're coming from but, Ghost Rider (the comic and the character) is not Blade or The Crow. Yes, they are all dark characters but they're are all very different and should be handled accordingly.

What I like a hell of a lot about this character is the Dr. Jeckly/My Hyde aspect of it all. Ghost Rider and Blaze are 2 different people (and/or demon) and the more they show the differences, the better it will be. Blaze is silly, Ghost Rider is not, type thing.

And again, I still think the contrast of humor and darkness is what'll make this movie an awesome ride. You can truly appreciate the horror/darkness of a movie when you have something that breaks you out of it, just to be slapped again by the darkness/horror. That's what I like and that's why I want this scene (and others like it) to stay.

Of course, that's just me.

I voted leave her in, but I think it would be funnier if some Fundamentalist soccer mom had seen GR and was flipping out in a wiggy way, LOL.

I say keep it in! It'll probably be a scene like in Spider-Man 1, where they were interveiwing the people!

Now you know I love you guys. ALL of you. Even the ones who hate the Goth Girl. But that chick's going nowhere! She cracks me up! Anyone who wears a t-shirt saying "I leave bite marks" can't be all bad!

Not bad at all. Meow.

It's funny that you voted in the poll as well. LoL.

Hey MSJ, how do you have an avatar?? You only have 49 posts! What the heck!?

Oh, and for the record, he should have the biggest one... avatar I mean.
