Can be from any film, what are your favourite scenes in any film, whether they be opening or not.

A few nominations to kick us off....

Opening scene....

Pulp Fiction - In the Diner

Scenes in General....

The Joker & Batman Interrogation Scene (TDK)

The twist reveal in Psycho

Superman's first reveal to the public (Superman : The Movie)

'We're gonna need a bigger boat' (Jaws)

Could name a million, but onwards with yours folks....

I'll just stick with opening scenes, because that seems like a more interesting parameter.

The Godfather:

Star Wars:

The Dark Knight:

Inglourious Basterds:

And although I can't show it given the language, Goodfellas.

I'm rather fond of the ticking clocks and abandoned gizmos at the start of "Back to the Future".

I like the opening to The Spy Who Loved Me.

I don't think a scene, bar few, where it gives you ALL the exposition you need visually, without a word of dialogue, so early, so precisely.

Once Upon a Time in the West has my favorite opening scene ever.

"Did you bring a horse for me?"
"Well, looks like we're shy one horse."
"You brought two too many."

I'd say as far as openings go...

Michael Mann's HEAT and Ben Affleck's The TOWN.

Blade - Bloodrave
X2 - Nightcrawler in the white house
Thor Ragnarok - Immigrant Song
Batman 89 - "Who are you?"

The opening scene of Millennium Mambo

Gangs of New York. The movie arguably peaks with the prologue scene, actually.

Blade Runner.....
