This is the "Heroes vs. Villains: Marvel RPG” Season VI
similar to The World of Heroes: DC Style Season IV in the DC Comic Board.

RULES

• You can choose to be any superhero or super villain in the Marvel Universe, as long as they:

Are NOT deities, gods, or people such as Death. People like Thanos and Silver Surfer and Captain Marvel and Galactus are okay, though...

Are true to the personality and abilities of the character, such as no Cyclops moving planets with his optic blasts, Dazzler defeating Galactus, or Aunt May as Galatus's new Herald...

• This is a working environment, so you can travel to different places using your powers or vehicles. Don't miraculously pop up unless you're a teleporter or such...

• You can reside in any place in the Marvel Universe. You can also travel off-planet, to such places as the Skrull homeworld...

• Don't do anything RANDOM like chopping off board user's heads or what not, unless your a villain chopping off inanimate victims heads, then whatever, go with it, as long as it's not technically RANDOM...

• Don't be killing people without reason. You know your weaknesses and strengths, what you can do or can't. Dazzler will lose against Thanos one on one, but may be able to use her allies to help her out or she can run away...

• If you want to take part in this, just PM BNKRPG or any of the mods or list your name and character here and I'll put your name and character on the first post here. First come, first serve...

• New RP'ers must start playing on Earth unless said so by any of the mods.

• You can form supervillain gangs, superhero teams, alliances, the works...

• You should have a hideout of some sort, at least in the beginning when your not traveling...

• If you get killed, re-spawn somewhere else like in a hospital or morgue or whatever. Keep playing...

• There can be a number of stories going on at once, using different people...

• Act like your characters, ASSUME their traits and personalities...

• There are endless places to go and endless things to do: ENDLESS possibilities so get creative...

• There are limits to time travel, do NOT time travel unless you have talked to one of the Gamemasters…

• There should be MINIMAL cussing and swearing in posts.
  There will be NO By-passing the censors. This is a Hype rule, and NO exceptions will be made for the RPG.

• No obscene topics!

• People who disobey these rules, some more major than the others, will get BOOTED a la DEW K. MOSI. As she said about the last thread...

• If a player decides to kill off their character, new players must have permission from the previous player (if he is still in the RPG) to resurrect that character

Screen Name: Master Bruce

Character you would like to play on Earth: Daredevil

Powers: Though blind, Matt Murdock's other senses are heightened to a peak level, allowing him to perform superhuman feats no other person would be able to accomplish. Daredevil is also trained in various forms of street fighting, boxing, and other martial arts.

Three reasons why you have chosen that character:

1. I've played him longer than any other character in any RPG. And he's still a great character to play in general.

2. As some know, I was ready to give him up for the chance to play Moon Knight. But Batman and I always went back and forth on the idea, and thus, we came to an agreement that we're both better off in our respective roles right now.

3. With Civil War brewing, I think Matt has some potential to really add to the story in his own way.

Ok, I just needed to ask. I've been trying to set up a prequel post for Punisher leading into the events of Civil War, and I just wanted to ask, do to reading the back pages is the idea still ok to do?

Also, Red X, did you get my pm?

And I'll have my Punisher application up soon. I also want to take up a second character for this season.

Screen Name: Watchman

Character you would like to play on Earth: Red Skull

Powers: Currently Red Skull inhabits a clone body of Captain America which gives him strength, stamina, and agility on par with Captain America. He is an excellent hand-to-hand combatant and is is a strategic genius.

Three reasons why you have chosen that character:

1. I've had set him up for big things this season

2. I hope to personal offend some of you with his actions. Note: The actions and comments made by Red Skull do you reflect the person writing him

3. One problem that I had with Civil War is that no villain took advantage of the situation...they were all Thunderbolts. This season the heroes are f'ed in the A with Red Skull's plan.

Character you would like to play on Earth: Mayor Norman Osborn/The Green Goblin

Powers: Superhuman strength, agility, stamina, and a healing factor due to the consumption of the goblin formula. He also has a number of goblin themed weaponry and possesses a knowledge of various fields of science.

Three reasons why you have chosen that character:

1. I've set him up as mayor last season I'm not going to just drop when I did that.

2. Although the obsession with all things spider is still in his mind this season I'm going to set him up as super villain to all.

Screen Name: The Punisher

Character you would like to play on Earth: Frank Castle/The Punisher

Powers: Frank does not have any powers. He used what he learned in the Marines and also practiced the martial arts of, Ninjutsu, Shorin-Ryu, Hwarangdo, Chi Na, and a Martial Arts program in the marines to him against his war on crime. The Punisher possesses the normal human strength of a 6'1" 200-pound man, who engages in rigorous regular physical exercises. Frank engages in a brutal regimen of calisnethics, katas and firing range practice daily, maintaining his combat skills. He's a skilled craftsman and is known to use, handguns, shotguns, machine guns, rifles, knives, explosives and other weapons.

Three reasons why you have chosen that character:

1. I've played Punisher for sometime now, and would like to continue with some more elevated stories.

2. I haven't done anything big with him yet, so now I want to try my best to involve Frank is some deep s**t.

3. With Civil War happening in this season, I want tell the story from Frank's point of view, and also have him decide what to do when worst comes to worst. When the time comes, I'll have him go around the world after the events of the War.

Character you would like to play on Earth: Black Bolt, King of the Inhumans

Powers: Control of electricity, flight, invulnerability, super strength (Hulk class), a sonic power so devastating that if he were to speak a sentence he would level a continent

Three reasons why you have chosen that character:

1. A character that can't speak is one heck of a challenge to RP.

2. I've got a great storyline worked out to tie-in to Civil War.

3. The Inhumans are probably one of Jack Kirby's greatest creations, and I can't wait to play around with them.

Black Bolt personifies these two things, and through this particular Inhuman I think I can show quite a bit about what it means to be human.

His name is Blackagar Boltagon. He is called Black Bolt, and he is King.


He is the most perfect King that has ever, or will ever exist. He is the ruler of the city of Attilan, located on the blue area of Earth's moon. Attilan is populated by a race of people called the Inhumans. Were he able to utter a sound, Black Bolt would perhaps laugh at this designation. The Inhumans are an entire race of people whose genetic makeup is different, each one of them a subspecies of one. It is their uniqueness, shared by all, that unites and divides them. To be an Inhuman is to be the most unique thing in all the galaxies. To be their king requires something more.


“Apparently Iron Man is the President of the United States,” said Crystal, sipping her goblet of wine. Dinner with the royal family of the Inhumans was always a unique experience.
“Isn't he an Avenger?” muttered Gorgon, military leader of Attilan. An enormous mug of ale was gripped in one of his massive hands, the other holding a partially eaten leg of lamb.
“You are correct, brother. Interesting that one of the superhumans has taken political power,” uttered Karnak, sometimes called the Shatterer. Red tattooes covered his fae in intricate patterns that doubtless only made sense to him.
“Could he potentially be a threat?” This time, it was his wife and Queen of the Inhumans, Medusa. Her beautiful, silklike red hair cascaded over her shoulders and down the chair she sat upon. Each bite of her food was small, carefully considered, like every action Medusa took. She was the voice of Black Bolt, the only window others had into his heart and soul. Neither of them would admit it, one because he couldn't, one because she would deny it, but they were each incomplete without the other.


For his part, Black Bolt sat alone at the head of the table, his food sitting before him still steaming with heat. He would not say how much he enjoyed conversation, even ones he had heard several times before. Nor would he say how much he enjoyed new conversations, because to do so would surely mean the greatest destruction fathomable.

Powers: Able to create and control flames, cover his body in a flaming plasma, and fly

1. I've been with him since Season 2.

2. He's a fun, light hearted character.

3. Two Words: Flame On.

Powers: Hawkeye has trained extensively to become a master archer with near perfect aim.

1. He's a smart-ass bad boy who deep down has a heart of gold.

2. He has no super powers, yet he stands with the rank of the Avengers and has save the world time and again.

3. I just married him off and gave him a family, so I want to explore that some more.

Character you would like to play on Earth: Quentin Beck a.k.a. Mysterio

Powers: Special effects expert and master illusionist, skilled fighter from days as a stunt man

1. I like the character, he's my favorite Spidey villian.

2. I know Beck really well, so I think I can play him well.

3. Things aren't always as they seem.

Sample Post:

The N train was late again. It was rush hour in New York City, and the subway platform under Times Square was filled with people. Impatient people. Impatient people who only paid attention to the fact that their train isn't coming, and not to the mysterious man standing by the stairs. He had a slight sinister smirk on his face as he looked out into the crowd. Fools. He thought. They're all unwitting players in a drama that is about to unfold. One that I shall direct.

The train rumbled from the tunnel, and the people could see it's headlights coming closer. A sigh of relief, and a few mutterings of "It's about time.", flows through the crowd gathered.

The train pulls into the station, and the doors open. And as the people hurriedly step in, they fall through the 'train' onto the tracks.

Dazed, and confused, the people begin to panic as the illusionary train fades away, revealing the actual N train that's rushing towards them. People scream and trample each other on the tracks as they make for the platform, desperately trying to climb out to safety. Some people left on the platform try to help the people out of danger, but one man was pulled down onto the tracks by a scared woman. All the while, the man by the stairs video taped the scene with his hidden camera.

The sounds of screeching brakes, painful screams, and cries of horror marked the N train's arrival, and the busy subway station became busier with the chaos of a massive tradgedy. If anyone cared to look for him, they'd notice that the man by the stairs was gone, leaving behind only a small piece of paper, which was stuck to the wall behind him.

When the police found it later that day, they'd read in the careful handwriting, four simple words:

There will be more.​

Powers: Superhuman intellect, durability and full body elasticity

1. I'm all about opposites, and what can be father away from Luke than someone who is arguably the whitest man in the Marvel U.

2. Reed is the smartest man on the planet and a man's man who should be in a Old Spice commerical

3. I have plans for him this season during CW and I'm still thinking of what to do post CW.

MARVEL RPG SEASON VI

Screen Name: Spideyssuperfan

Character you would like to play on Earth: Knockity knock! It's us again, Venom (Eddie Brock)!

Powers: We have all the powers of Spider-Man. We can climb walls, sense danger, swing from our own (endless) supply of webbing, and we have enhanced speed and agility. We also have an "other". The "other" is an alien symbiote. It was once bonded with Spider-Man, so now we don't activate his precious "spider-sense". The alien also increases our strength further and protects us from most weapons known to man... except fire and sound.

Three reasons why you have chosen that character:

1. Venom is my favorite spidey villain.

2. He's a blast to write. The jokes never end. And, since he doesn't have a good moral compass, I can write without remorse.

3. I only got 2 posts in last season, and I really feel bad about that. But I know that, given my track record with the other rpg's, I can bring a lot of character interaction and I'll get some in depth stories.

Three reasons why you have chosen that character: He's one of my favorite Marvel characters. When I left, I left Kang in mid-arc (same with Thanos), and I intend to pick back up from where I left off. I love villains, what can I say?

Screen Name: bkhedr

Character you would like to play on Earth: Thor Odinson

Powers: Thor is the norse god of thunder and lightning and the mightiest warrior in all mythology. He posseseses vast superhuman strength and endurance as well as centuries of experience as the prince of the Asgardian warrior gods. He is an expert in all forms of ancient combat, particularly hammer throwing and swordsmanship. As an Asgardian he is nearly immortal and is immune to all forms of mortal disease and poisons. He also fatigues at a far slower rate than humans. Thor also wields Mjolnir, the mightiest weapon of the gods. Mjolnir, who's name means 'the crusher', returns to Thor when thrown and almost nothing can withstand its might. Mjolnir also augments Thor's latent weather control abilities, also him to open dimensional portals and vortexes, can be thrown and held on to allowing him to simulate flight. Mjolnir can also absorb all manner of energies and amplify and rechannel them; the most dramatic of these instances is when Thor channels his godly essence through Mjolnir into a devastating attack known as the godblast. Mjolnir can also fire destructive beams of anti-force and can be spun before Thor as a shield. Mjolnir is bonded to Thor and there is an enchantment on the hammer that only those it deems worthy can wield it.

Recently Thor came into the possesion of another extremely powerful weapon; the bloodaxe of Skurge the Executioner. Though cursed to make its wielder seek blood, the axe's awesome power is not to be underestimated. Though not as versatile as Mjolnir, it is every bit the killing device that the mystic mallet is. It is assumed that Thor's strength of will and nobility allow him to control the axe rather than succumb to its curse.

Thor also recently came into the possesion of his father's Odinpower when Odin was killed by Loki. The Odinpower is a near limitless source of magical force which allows Thor to augment his own strength and stamina, create nearly impenetrable force fields, fire concussive and heat blasts, teleport, and a variety of other magical effects. Though the wielder of the odinpower is refered to as omnipotent, the odinpower is not without its limits, and the wielder must undertake a coma like state known as the odinsleep to replenish his or her might.

As the wielder of the odinpower and king of Asgard Thor has the resources of the entire city of gods at his disposal.

1. My favorite character and I think I do a good job playing him.

2. I've been playing him long enough now that I have set several storylines in motion and I cant wait to play them out

3. The RPG needs the Mighty Thor...the MU without Thor is like a sandwich without the bread

Character you would like to play on Earth: Captain America

Powers: When Steve Rogers volunteered for Project Rebirth and was injected with the super soldier serum he was transformed from a frail and sickly youth into a shining beacon of human perfection, the super soldier known as Captain America. He posseses peak human abilities as well as some that extend past what a normal human might be capable of. For example, Captain America sees 'faster' than normal humans and his muscles produce no lactic acid from exertion so he does not fatigue. Captain America is one of the finest hand to hand combatants in the Marvel Universe, he is an expert in Judo and Kickbocking, and is also a brilliant commander and field strategist. Cap also possesses an indestructible shield made of a vibranium-steel alloy. The shield can be thrown and Cap can often throw it so that it ricochet's back to him. Cap's uniform is a form of chainmail armor which provides a fair amount of protection from injury and is fire proof.
