I was watching a few random videos on Youtube and I came across this clip of Stan Lee at the recent Dallas comic-con. Someone had asked a question about DC and Marvel and Stan wound up giving the crowd a brief, humorous tale on how Marvel went from being "Atlas" to Marvel. In the process of giving the history lesson, he also offers a humorous criticism of how DC (formerly National) came to get the name DC comics. Stan Lee seriously needs his own podcast.

stan lee is a legend.
i could listen to him all day!!

Stan always offers a great deal of history and insight, whilst employing a comedic tone. His grandchildren must love to hear him tell stories. I never knew that DC changed their name so that they could follow Marvel's lead, nor was I aware of the fact that Stan Lee is responsible for renaming the company. They should really hire him on for their marketing department. Not that he needs the work, but fans really admire him and the man knows how to create a slogan, how to sell a product and how to build enthusiasm for a product.
