I definitely agree with you. I think she had to maintain a particular appearance for that role, but now that she's off the show, she can field a more glamorous look which I feel is very becoming of her.

This has been evidenced in recent promotional images as well as her appearance on Battlestar Galactica, Football Wives, and also Celebrity Duets.
