The Hype Mole Mission 9 "Where is Vincent!?"​

The rules:

11 players are chosen, one of them is an Other. The Other is a double agent within your group that is working to take out you all one by one while trying to keep their identity a secret. Each mission has a reward in the form of a clue to the true identity of the Other amongst you. It is the Other's job to thwart or sabotage any efforts at uncovering their identity. After each mission, a quiz about that mission and the Other's involvement is issued and the player with the lowest score is executed. In the event of a tie for last, the pm(s) first received will take precedence. The Other will always score 100% and will therefore not be eliminated. Quiz scores or answers will never be given after any mission.

At the end, 2 players remain. It is then up to the 9 executed players to submit their vote as to who they think the Other is. If the majority chooses the Other, then the survivor did a good job at uncovering their identity and therefore wins. If the majority chooses the survivor, then the Other did a good job at keeping their identity a secret and therefore wins.​

Your outcome in this game is solely up to you. There is always more than one way aside from mission clues to uncover the Other's true identity. So, be vigilant, pay attention, and always mind your surroundings.

Remember, only stuff given or sent by myself or Spider-Fan is official. The main rules about this game is that there are none. Lie, cheat, backstab, or slither your way to the top! Each mission will have its own set of instructions that will be outlined.

The two of you will have til 12am CST tomorrow to post a one post case in defense of yourself. The format and length of this post is entirely up to you. Once these are posted, you may rebut your opponents post JUST ONCE. Your former players will also be encouraged to ask questions, and you may reply to any questions that get asked. It will then be up to the former players to vote and decide whom they think is the Other, so make your case a convincing one.

I wish good luck to the both of you in our finale, and I would like to personally thank everyone who participated. You guys made this a great game to look over and a great experience. I hope you enjoyed this game as much as myself and chase did hosting it. I also would like to thank chase for allowing me to cohost this game with him. It truly was a tremendous honor cohosting the game, and I am glad I got to be a part of the game

Wow! What another great game chase. SF you were great as co-host. I want to thank you both for allowing me to play again. And I'd like to give props to all of the other players in the game as well, especially SsM and Nell.You two helped me out a lot in this game when others didn't. Thank you.

Now, let me start by saying that I am not the Mole/Other. The evidence I have collected will prove that Rocker22/Ryan is.

As far as my strategy this game, I did the exact same thing I did last game. Here’s what I said then: If you are a fan of the show (The Mole), you know that one strategy is to draw attention to yourself. This gives you a slight edge. That was my goal coming in. I knew that it could only take me so far, because unlike the show, the executed here can still communicate with the remaining players. It could give me an advantage, until someone who targeted me in a quiz got eliminated.

Let’s talk about that evidence. Ryan has lied quite a bit in this game. I know this, because of Execution Quiz 8. This was one of the questions. I added the answers. Nell and SsM, feel free to object if I’m wrong:

• 1965- Me
• 1982- Nell
• 1984- SsM
• 1985- Rocker22
Ryan claimed he was born in 1986. Which you can see isn’t even an option.

I believe the only thing he was truthful about was his name. The clues we received were pointing to parts of his bio and his Hype alter ego Rocker22.

Our first clue was for an album cover for Elvis Costello’s album Armed Forces. I believe this is pointing to Ryan’s true favorite musician and not Johnny Cash like he claims.

The second clue was of Uranometria of the constellation Orion with the quote "Look to the stars for guidance." I believe that this is in reference to Rocker’s band Race the Sun. Perhaps it is also a hint to Ryan’s occupation as well, maybe an Astronomer.

When Orion was blind he was taken to Helios (the Sun) to be healed.

"Look to the stars for help" people have used the Sun to guide us all the time.

The next clue was a picture that shows what looks to be the mining of a type of rock. Another hint to Rocker, but the most important part is the bottom of the picture. The date has been altered (perhaps by chaseter) to show only the day. 22. Another connection to Rocker22/Ryan.

The next clue was a note in Latin. The key here is it points to the letter R as in Rocker22/Ryan.

Attero means Ruin. Ille qui nos omnes servabit - “He who will protect us all.” This was said by Richard in the last season finale of Lost. The other part that sticks out is:Vir ex Caput mundi. Man out of Rome.Rome has been known for centuries as Caput Mundi.

The next clue is in fact the biggest and most important of them all. It was a Coat of Arms for the Ryan Family.

Our next clue was a miniature puzzle like the one’s we did in Mission: "If I Could Turn Back Time".
Here is the clue and the answers:
Movie: Man desperately has to get these two people to fall in love.
Answer: Back to the Future, 1985
Song: Man sings about something that can save your life.
Answer: Huey Lewis and the News “The Power of Love”. This was featured in Back to the Future.

Back to the Future was released in 1985. Remember that quiz question I posted at the top of the post? This is what I believe is Ryan’s true year of birth.

The next clue was broken into 4 pieces and given to each of us. I received Calgary, Canada. No one shared their pieces with me. I’m not sure what this references, because of this.

That’s what I have. I sincerely hope you look over everything before you vote. Rocker22/Ryan was very quiet the entire game and the small amount of info he gave us was mostly lies. He is the Mole/Other.

Yes I did lie about my age to the other survivors but that was merely a white lie to not give away my true age to the group. I have always been irritated by the questions about my age.

This clue has always confused me, it also led me to Elvis Costello, but Johnny Cash is my favorite artist. If I'm not mistaken Jake has told us who his favorite artist is by saying BB King. But King=Elvis(King of Rock and Roll) But I never found a link to prove Elvis Costello.

I think this clue is about Jake's story...he is trying to find his missing wife. The uranometria was the first atlas to cover the entire earth and he has searched all over the Earth trying to find her.

This one was easy for me to decifier...that's iron in that man's hand. It represents Iron Man. Jake once said his was Superman but it looks like he only jumped on the band wagon

Ok. So you admit lying about your age.

Drawing a line from Elvis Costello to Elvis Presley to BB King is the biggest stretch I have ever seen. If you lied about your age, I believe you are capable of lying about everything else. Including your favorite musician.

Superman is my favorite hero. Look at my Hype name. You didn't even address the 22 on the bottom of the picture.

You can twist the translation all you want, but I stand by mine. Richard in Lost has a connection to the game we are playing. And all the R's point to you.

The Ryan Coat of Arms is so blatant that there is no other explanation. You are Ryan therefore the clue points to you.

How convenient. The only clue you have that would directly point to me, is the one that only you got.

There is nothing desperate about my evidence. If anyone is desperate right now, it is you. You have nothing tangible that could point to me. Chase never, at anytime, said that the Mole clues themselves would not connect to our Hype names. He told us to stay in character the whole time, but nothing about the clues. TDK had posted a question about the connection, but I asked him to edit it. I had started to connect you through the clues and didn't want everyone else to figure it out. The Astronomer was a guess on my part and I even said that.

I ask everyone to look over his evidence and mine before voting. I have actual solid evidence proving he is the Mole/Other. I will answer any questions you have. Please ask them.

I tried to put the whole thing in a translator and it didn't make sense to me. So I broke it up.

"Ille qui nos omnes servabit"- I recognized immediately, because I watch the show.

I broke it down and found out through google that caput mundi sometimes means "capital city" then I had a friend who took Latin several years back look at it and tell me what he thought. And he gave me that translation..which reads funny.
