The Hype Wrestling Predictions League: Wrestlemania

Rules:
1. Anyone can take part, whether you participated in previous seasons, or previous rounds of this season, or not.
2. Leave your predictions of who you think will win each match as replies to this post.
3. You do not have to predict how the match will be won (e.g.: pinfall/submission/DQ etc.) although you can add it if you wish.
4. You can predict the match will finish in a draw/ no contest if you wish. NB: If the match is cancelled it will be considered a no contest. (Matches where a wrestler forfeits still count though.)
5. Replies must be posted prior to the start of the event.
6. Matches added after I post the starting thread for each PPV do not count for the predictions league - matches that take place on Heat, dark matches, etc. do not count either. Exceptions may be made if I miss something out of the original post.
7. Play fair - no editing of predictions after/during the PPV.
8. Points system is below.
9. Our decision is final.

Point System:
1 pt for every correct prediction
+2pts if it is a title match
+2pts if it is the main event (defined for the sake of argument as the final match to take place on the card)
+3pts if the match contains more than 4 people (e.g.: 6-man tag matches, Royal Rumble etc.)
+5pts if you correctly predict the result of every match on the card

Unified Tag title match: Morrison and Truth vs ShowMiz (c)

Big Show and Miz Retain. Morrison and Truth haven't been together long enough to win the titles yet. I predict Showmiz will retain and and keep the program with Truth and Wisdom going.




10 Diva Tag Match: Eve Torres, Beth Phoenix, Kelly Kelly, Gail Kim & Mickie James vs. Alicia Fox, Vickie Guerrero, Maryse, Layla & Michelle McCool

Beth and Mickie's face team wins.

The heel divas have had more momentum recently and this continues the road of Beth going after McCool and maybe Eve going after Maryse. Not that I care about the match much anyway.




MITB Match

I cautiously give the nod to Christian

Kofi Christian and McIntyre are the only ones with a real chance of winning. If Kofi wasn't in the dog house recently I might lean towards him but Christian winning sets up far more interesting story lines. I just don't think WWE would be dumb enough to pass that up and give it to McIntyre even though I've got a sinking feeling that he may win. Drew needs to get over as IC champ first.




Triple Threat: Randy Orton vs Cody Rhodes vs Ted DiBiase

RKO wins.

I think Cody and Ted will double team Orton early on and their own bickering will give Randy an opening to score the win. Orton's due for a win at WM after last years anti climax of a main event.



Rey Mysterio vs CM Punk

I think Rey pulls out the win because I don't see him sticking around to be Punk's follower. Either Sunday or next Friday may see a beat down that puts Rey out of action.




HHH vs Sheamus

Sheamus wins.

I think HHH will try to make Sheamus look like a star then lay down for his boy after a screwy finish. HHH then pedigrees him and stands tall.




No Holds Barred Fight: Bret Hart vs Vince McMahon

Bret Hart wins after a fun brawl and sharpshooter. There's no way Bret's not winning this.




World Heavyweight Championship match: Edge vs Chris Jericho (c)

Jericho sneakily retains. Edge Chases him until maybe Summerslam.




Streak vs Career match: The Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels

Undertaker wins and the streak endures another year.

They will have the best match of the night. Even if HBK doesn't retire for good this writes him off the show but I think this may be it for him as a regular wrestler.

Cena wins after an epic battle. The show closes out on a high note.

HHH vs Sheamus - Sheamus gets the rub from his workout buddy, though Trips will probably stand tall at the end

Randy Orton vs Ted Dibiase vs Cody Rhodes - Orton will get the win after Legacy meltdown and get somewhat of a consolation for last year's burial.

CM Punk vs Rey Mysterio - Mysterio gets the narrow victory, but suffers a massive beatdown afterwards to run the injury angle. The rumors are that the angle will continue after Mania, but I really don't want to see that story play out while Rey puts off knee surgery.

Tag Team Titles ShowMiz vs R-Truth and Morrison - ShowMiz get the win, though Miz needs to drop one of his titles soon.

Money in the Bank - Christian is the only one I think can win this. McIntyre winning would be horrid.

Bret Hart vs Vince McMahon - This one shouldn't even be in the prediction contest because of how easy this is. Bret gets the win with the Sharpshooter and his mania moment.

Shawn Michaels vs The Undertaker - Undertaker gets the win in MOTY (yes, YEAR), and gives HBK a Wrestlemania sendoff. I hope they've booked a good ten to twenty minutes extra into this year's Mania, because HBK's sendoff after this match is going to be huge and emotional just from the crowd alone.

World Heavyweight Championship Chris Jericho vs Edge - Jericho sneaks out a win to continue the feud to Summerslam.

WWE Championship Batista vs John Cena - Cena send the kiddies home happy with a win.

I'm really looking forward to this match , Mysterio should win here though. It's been rumoured his injury will have him out for a while which mean SES beatdown but i think that will happen next month

Tag Team Titles ShowMiz vs R-Truth and Morrison Showmiz

It's been a while since Big Show has won at WM . I also think Morrison belongs in the singles division but hopefully these teams will go at it a few times.


Money in the Bank Christian

Kofi has lost alot of momentum but Christian is definately ready for the main event scene . Please be Christian and not McIntyre lol .

Bret Hart but something tells me there will be more to this match than we are expecting.

Shawn Michaels vs The Undertaker Undertaker

There is a one percent chance HBK ends the streak but I can see him personally wanting to back down at this point but I still think he has
a couple years left in the tank

World Heavyweight Championship Chris Jericho vs Edge Chris Jericho

This is a tough call . I want Jericho to win because it would further thi feud and he deserves his Wrestlemania moment finally. Edge is more thna likely going to win but hopefully Jericho

WWE Championship Batista vs John Cena John Cena

Batista has been great in his role and I'd like to see this feud continue with Cena being hunted by the angry animal.

This is definately a better card than last year , enjoyable from top to bottom. I most looking forward to seeing Bret back in the ring for the last time. Also if Christian cashes the MITB on Edge or Christian it will be epic win.
