The "I loved Spider-Man 3" Thread!

Agreed, The audience sucked in general. The old school comic book fans and little kids loved it, in my theatre.

Yes I'll see this movie plenty of times. Fantastic. The best Comic Book film ever so far.

I thought Hellboy was the best comicbook film/adaptation until now. This is so much like 70's and 80's Spider-Man Comics it is ridiculous. AWESOME!

I am seeing it again today. Can't wait...the Harry story is one of the best stories in the three movies.

I'll put a post in here as support. ;)

Yeah, I loved it. It could've been better, but overall I felt it was the best of all the three movies.

This film just gets awesomer and awesomer everytime I think about it/talk about it.

I really loved this movie. It is THE Spider-Man movie.

I WANT TO GO SEE IT AGAIN IN IMAX!! but i don't have time... :(

Chalk me up as another person who absolutely enjoyed the film. I can't decide if it's better than Spidey 2 or not (will probably have to see it again before I can), but I can definitely say that I loved it, especially the way Raimi injected humor into what otherwise would have been a very depressing series of storylines. Some particular favorites:
- Betty Brant's continuous use of the buzzer to remind Jameson to calm down
- Ursula Ditkovich
- Bad Peter (Raimi wasn't afraid to play this for laughs, but he also made sure that we didn't forget that Pete's behavior wasn't right)
- The girl cheating Jameson out of the film for her camera that he bought from her for $100
- Eddie's completely serious, and yet totally ridiculous, request that God kill Peter Parker (the way Topher Grace delivered the line turned it from complete cheese that didn't work into something that works despite the fact that it's cheesy and ridiculous)

You must be a real screwed up person to ask god to kill someone. Topher did it very well. I kinda like that in both Spider-Man and Spider-Man 3 it is being rejected by MJ that allows Norman Osborn to seep back into Harry.

It's a totally ridiculous request in that it's not something you'd seriously consider asking unless you didn't really expect it to be answered; it's like asking God to turn you into a millionaire; it's not likely to happen... and yet Grace delivered it with such aplomb that you can't help but chuckle at how desperate he has to have been to have made such a totally ludicrous and ridiculous request.

I also thought it was neat how Harry's attraction to MJ allowed the influence of his father's Goblin essence to creep back into his psyche. It was a great way to rehash Harry's attraction to MJ and pay off the amnesia subplot without things feeling repetitive.

watched spidey yesterday, was surprised by the queues at the cinema, never seen anything like that b4, i had to miss the 1st show bcuz it was sold out , watched the 2nd showing which still had a ridculous queue , when i came out of that showing, there was another ridiculous queue , guess spideys real popular, anyway heres what i think about the movie, it was funny and entertaining thats all that matters, was surprised at the end of the movie when there was a huge applause from everyone didnt see that coming, but i couldnt get over how they misused venom, which made me say crap out loud at the end of the movie, was pissed about venom, it was just a waste, they should have left him out. apart from venom it was a good movie, the 2nd fight between harry and peter was real good and the audience realy seemed to get into the jokes , the ones that got people laughing were , jj at the bugle with the buzzer, jj and the lil kid, peter dancing, spidey swinging down to get the key to the city. bring on spidey 4, lizard and kraven

bring on spidey 4, lizard and kraven

YOU READ MY MIND!!!;) I'VE SEEN THE MOVIE 3 TIMES ALREADY AND WILL MOST LIKELY SEE IT A FEW MORE!!! I ABSOLUTELY LOVED ITS COMICBOOK FEAL AND THE FINAL BATTLE'S EPIC NATURE!!! SANDMAN'S TRANSFORMATION AS HE'S TRYING TO REFORM HIS BODY WAS JUST BEAUTIFULLY DONE, THAT WAS A SPECTACULAR SCENE!!! IT WAS JUST A GREAT FILM, IT HAD ITS FLAWS, BUT THAT DOESN'T CHANGE MY OPINION THAT IT'S VERY WELL DONE AND VERY ENTERTAINING!!! I THINK THE LIZARD AND KRAVEN WOULD MAKE GREAT VILLAINS IN SPIDEY 4!!!:D:up:

I'm seeing the film again tommorow. the crowd wasn't that bad at the midnight premiere. some people did laugh at serious scenes though. this film is without a doubt worth seeing more than once. I loved every thing in the film. every moment got me hooked in, I also loved alot of the characters progressing storylines and concluding storylines. I can't wait until tommorow to see it again!.

SM3 is easily the best comic book movie ever made.

i think i need to see it another time as well. that was alot to take in. i followed the movie pretty good. the first time i saw it i had some anal retentive ******s booing and hissing and saying it sucked. i enjoyed it. i don't let other people ruin the movie for me. especially those laughing at Sandman who shows his sympathetic side. what those idiots are not seeing is that Raimi does a good job trying to make this comic book movie series as human as possible. what would you do if you were Sandman?? Venom?? or for that matter Spiderman?? or even Harry?? if you were put in the situations they faced in this movie??

i guess we have to many immature people in the audience who want nothing but to see villains and superheroes flying through brickwalls with as much violence as possible with no drama, no story, just all action.

personally i ruined this movie for myself reading the stupid spoilers on here(won't do that ever again) but I'm going for a second time to really get a feel for it. another reason why i wanna see it again is that I might write a script for the 4th one and see what happens. overall though this movie was great but it lacked a few things but still a great movie.

i feel the same except the villains part. Lizard I can see in it, Kraven is a lame villains in my opinion, I would go with Electro and Carnage to continue the symbiote saga and of course returning would be Venom.

i went to watch this film last night and i have to say i was very impressed......some bits i felt were inappropriate......for instance the humour in the middle when peter was meant to dark and serious and he starts dancing......the battle scenes were awesome and it was a very good with the dark parts of the movie.......class........

id recommend it.

Spidey 3 is the best in the trilogy. Venom was incredible, the subway fight gave me chills when Spider-Man was swinging through the pipes along with the music(which I think is the best score out of the three), Gwen was so hot, the affect the symbiote had on Peter was my favorite part, and I even liked the jazz club scene. I mean, who wouldn't want to make their ex look like a fool and steal their show?

My only beef with this movie is Sandman's voice when he gets huge.

One part of the movie that I really loved - not for what happens to the characters, but anyways - is when Peter gets dumped by MJ. Tobey acted really well and he got so desperate it was cute. But it was sad too cuz Kirsten acted well too and you could kind of see that she was faking it. That's the most memorable scene for me. And that made all the difference in what I thought overall of the movie.

Kraven is a hard fit, but Lizard rocks! Check my sig...

About the forgiveness angle, this is a Hiro quote from HEROES:

"I can't kill a man asking for forgiveness. Everyone deserves a second chance. It's not the bushido way."

i have only seen it once and i loved it,i will save my opinions of where it ranks in the series as a whole until i see it a few more times. i saw it at a university theatre, so majority of the crowd was college guys and people on dates looking for a fun movie. for the most part they all accepted the movie really well, but EVERY single scene where someone cried there were lots of snickers throughout the crowd, this really bothered me. after the movie, my fiancee and i were talking about the movie and i brought up that it bothered me about everyone laughing at the emotional scenes, and i stated that i thought that majority of people within the theatre were not secure enough with themselves or with their date to appreciate the drama. she immediatley stated that she thought this during the movie also and that many people who have not experienced such things in life would not have an understanding for them. i could not have agreed more, and i am sure many of you here do as well. from a couple who has been together through the good and bad in life for 6 years and is getting married this summer, we both thought that the dramatic scenes were very 'real' and portrayed much like they are in real life when you screw up big time or think you are about to lose the one you love

Yeah, people complain about the crying, but that scene was very well played

Count me in as a "I loved it!" vote.

I remember getting cross with Avi Arad as I kept hearing reports of Venom making it in this third movie.

I uttered the words, they are going to screw Harry in the third film. Well not literally but the character was going to get short changed.

Come 2:40am on Friday my fears were relieved.

Thank you Sam! I love this movie! It rounds out the first two wonderfully.

There are so many moments I loved in this film!

One I haven't seen posted in this thread:
Harry: "I've been protecting you all through high school, but now I am gonna kick you arse!" (paraprhased)
Peter: "Ooooh" with scary hands waving by his face

SWEET!

I remember posting on these boards many many many moons ago, how cool it would be to see Harry & Pete go at it sans costumes.

I wanted a really awesome arial battle between Harry & Peter. I loved the battle.

There was one thing I wish I did get to see. More of the Peter & Harry team up! That was sweet!

I dare say Sam did a wonderful job of showing this story.

I made me miss Harry more in the comics.

I do feel for the fans of Venom though. There should have been scenes of Venom as lethal protector saving innocents and scaring the be-jesus out of criminals.

Outside of the MJ, Harry, and Peter scenes the film was rushed. This is okay to me because I got to see Harry's story.

Thanks again Sam!

Thwipp!

I really enjoyed the movie personally, only a few things I would change however, more scenes of spidey in the black suit, being more aggressive as black Spider-Man, in place of the "I have a black suit on underneath these clothes and I'm being a bad a$s". I wish the last scene with Pete and MJ before the credits left off on a better note, instead of just simply hugging and no dialogue, and/or a final swing scene before cut to credits, just to help the movie not leave off on a somewhat depressive note. Other than that, good movie.

I absolutely loved this movie and i hope Sam and Tobey, Kirsten etc. come back for more. The acting was way better than in 1 + 2 and i loved the comedy in it!

This film is way too underrated IMO, but i guess that doesnt matter now if you take a look at the box office records...
