The Ramones were one of the 5 most quintessential bnads I needed to see in my lifetime... the other 4 being the Cramps, the Dickies, DEVO & the B-52's...

I saw the B-52's last weekend, saw the Dickies in 1995, and the Cramps in 1990, 1992, 2003 & 2004...

DEVO is touring again, so I might be able to see them, but alas, I'll never get a chance to see the Ramones.

'Are We Not Men?' is one of the most creative and incendiary albums of all time. Love the first B-52's album too, totally off he freakin' hook! I haven't been listening to punk much lately, love my proto punk like VU though. Was jumping around to Leave Home and Wire's Pink Flag last night too. It was a fun night.

Leave Home is my favprite and arguably the best Ramones album out there... excluding "It's Alive", which is just 28 songs of pure greatness...

When DEVO was touring briefly last fall (of '09), they were doing 2 night shows... the first one being the "Are we not men" set list, and the second night being the "Freedom of Choice" set list...

Pink Flag is a fookin' great record... my favorite most times being Ex-Lion Tamer.

Yeah, Leave Home just has this pulse to it that's like primal or something and Joey's hitting it in all the right spots. Gimme Gimme Shock Treatment, and Carbona Not Glue are probably my favorite tracks on there although I love the entire album.

I heard about Devo doing that since I leave nearby Seattle and apparently they played there last year. I was a fool not to go!

I love me some Pink Flag, and you're right about exliontamer; Low Down and Strange and the title track pop out in my mind too. YEAH! Gotta go, fun chatting, for sure though.
