I guess, but what was I even saying that was bad? I complimented one clip, and expressed my dismay towards another, and then you and I have a brief discussion as to whether the clips were finished or not.

What a tragedy! Here comes Nivek with his "guano" spam comments! Hulkfan2008 disregards everything I say because I have a Batman avatar, and because of that, my comments don't make sense to him! Look at me! I'm a Batman troll!

The whole thing's just getting a little old, in my opinion. I realize it's this weird message board mentality, but I have nothing against the Hulk. I'm not rooting for the movie to fail, but it has a lot to prove to me as a fan, just like Batman Begins, Iron Man, and Spider-man each had to do. I apologize to certain Hulk fans around here that I have expectations, desires, and criticisms for this film. However, I commend you, FrostBite, for not writing off each negative comment that comes your way as "Guano trolling".

I've used the guano comment, but only like once, maybe twice. People are suspicious of Bat-fans, as I said once to you in another thread... they can be pretty "Only TDK must prevail!" sometimes. I mean heck, I've wanted to discuss my uneasy views of "Gotham Knight," for a long time, but I am simply afraid to. I'd rather have no war up-roar out of my hatred for what I want to love.

Unfortunately, because of your avatar, you will be group in with them. Should it happen? No. Will it? Sadly.

The thing that's weird is that I've never once brought up TDK here. I've never compared this Hulk movie to it or anything of the sort, yet a negative opinion always equates to "Oh, go back to the Bat-forums! TDK will suckkkk!!!" It get's old and annoying and, truth be told, makes many Hulk fans come off as the jackasses they claim Batman fans are.

Speaking of Gotham Knight, I have about zero anticipation for that. It's something I'll watch with an open mind, but I'm not jumping for joy over the idea. Maybe it could turn out good?

whats funny is that for some odd reason when batfans rag on the hulk movie it makes me more and more excited for it and less excited for TDK which i was really excited for

Oh I know, but due to your avatar, you will be grouped in with the others when a negative comment arises. As I said, unfair, but true. Schemas and stereotypes are just easier for a mind to come to. Try to brush it off, that's what I do on other forums if I am called out.

I hope it'll be good, I just don't see how. Batman + Anime.... two things that don't mix for me. Spectacular Spider-man has pushed it with it's American-cutesy-anime-hybrid love child art style and pulled it off so maybe Batman can as well.

Right now though? I just cannot feel it. There doesn't seem to be a single redeeming aspect in it...er wait.. they got the voice of Bruce Wayne back, so at least they got one thing very right. I'll give a chance, but I hope I can rent it so I don't have to pay so much to see it.

It could turn out to be pretty fresh and interesting. Who knows?

Indeed I was skeptical of Spectacular Spidey, but now it's one of my favorite shows. Glad I gave it a shot, and I will for Gotham Knight... just not a $30 shot. :woot::oldrazz:

Are you nuts? :wow:

Iron Man is, probably, the very best movie with the Marvel trademark so far.

Everything is its exact place there. This Hulk is open to debate, the shots and clips still making some happy, some asking for improvement.

i never said ironman was bad.... just most of the cgi...
and like i said it didnt affect the movie much

I agree, I found the CGI in Ironman to be pretty bad. Surprised to hear it was ILM.

Was even more surprised to see how average the movie was. I can not for the life of me understand why so many liked it that much. Especially the action was truly lacking and boring.

Not to me. In the clip where he saves Betty, sure. But in the fighting clips? I think he moves too seamlessly. He goes from shots where his body looks limited in motion (which looks right for a creature that tall and muscular) to spins in the air that look effortless.

Yes, the debris and shockwaves are good enough. However, I'm talking about the creatures themselves. All of the gleam and movement makes them look okay at best to me. The last Hulk looked impressive both when he was running and standing around. This one has a better design, but it doesn't sell itself in the technical department.

Man, I thought the general sentiment on Hulk 03' was that he looked too weightless, I didn't share in that, but I do think in terms of that TIH surpasses it. The big thing is that the human eye, which is so adept at detecting human movements, is hard to fool when it comes to CGI. The "weightless" thing isn't a matter of this film's CGI, but all CGI in my opinion. I also don't think Hulk 03' should be the measure of this film's merit. If it was the same creative team, sure, but this Hulk is done from the ground up. We have to widen our perception to it just a little. No matter what, I'm official onboard for this movie, and so are all of my friends. All of whom are only more pumped after seeing the new clips. Love or hate it, TIH is starting to win people over.

Wow, my friend, you are in a indescribable minority. By nearly all accounts, the CGI in Iron Man was awesome. I think by bad you may mean noticable, which is different intirely. But in no way, shape or form was it bad.

I thought it was good. Not King Kong good but it was decent.

What the hell is that for?
Clearly, I found whatever you posted to be quite humorous, and felt it best to express that humor through the timely and efficient application of the appropriate emoticon - in this case, the little laughy/pointy guy.

Personally I wouldn't mind if none of the footage released thus far is finished, just so when we do finally see it on the big screen we're even more wowed. IMO using that tactic is a great way to get word and mouth spreading like wildfire by making the audience completely awestruck.

Emo is another stupid trend phrase that angers the wrong people. Like me.

Not meant to put you in an emerald rage, evidently. :woot:

But the fact that they designed him with a much less brutish face (many times he looks quite human in the face, with the body of a monster), the eye area, darkened (I suppose to stress his gleaming eyes) and the lips likewise remind me of EMO singers, especially that screaming scene.

And that's not to my personal pleasure, either, take note. :csad:

Yes, but how did you know what was CGI from the Practical in Ironman? Favreau has never been a CGI fan and most of the FX in the movie were practical. Something you thought was CGI could have very well been practical. How can you say something made from practical FX looked like fake CGI?

I think Iron Man had great CGI. I also think R & H have a much bigger job with hulk and personally think it's right up there with ILM's work.

Yeah, Iron Man was a great movie. Tight and precise, everything in the right place.

I have absolutely no complaints about the great CGI job done there.
