lol, it's amusing when people use this argument.
It's absurd.
You don't have to have animated realistic dinosaurs to know that the ones in Jurassic Park look more real than the ones in Land of the Lost.
You don't have to be as good at basketball as Michael Jordan is to know that he's a better player than Timmy McStevenson.
You don't have to be a good actor to know that Tara Reid is a bad actress and that Al Pacino is a good actor.
You don't have to have written and directed an exciting Space Opera to know that Star Wars is more visually exciting than 2001: A Space Odyssey.
Furthermore, people have done their own designs in cases like this before, just for fun.
I'm thinking of, back before The Fantastic Four came out...true fans of the Thing thought it was lame that the movie Thing had no big ape unibrow.
So, I can't remember who, made this:
![]()
Which looks SO much better than this:
![]()
But, it's irrelevant.
The filmmakers aren't going to use someone else's design, and a fan's superior design is not going to make the movie version look better....so, a really pointless thing to say.
They already explained why they couldn't use the big brow on film. They tried it and it shadowed his eyes too much and would have forced them to use too much light. They wanted his eyes to stand out.
