Agreed co2, that's just it...

Here's another BEAUTIFUL shot from the new movie. I LOVE THIS ONE!! It doesn't get any better then this is my VERY humblest of humble opinions or IMVHO....

BruceTransform2.jpg

I love that shot, I'm just waiting for someone to find something to complain about it.

Prefix - Back to my last post, I finished the statement... I'm not arguing or calling anyone stupid. I'm saying that there has been nothing more then opinion's hurled around saying how bad it is and "rendering" has become a buzz word with no meaning around here.
To be fair nobody who likes the CGI has given any support behind their opinion either. It's just "No! You're all dumb!"

Oh, and when I say rendering, I am referring to the skin texture, light reflection and muscle definition. The "looks like a video game" comment (which is, granted, an exaggeration) refers to how some people don't think the rendering is applied well to the model.

Ok, if you disagree, then you disagree, that's fine. I won't be pointing my finger to you and ravaging your opinions out in a frenzy.

Muscles can be many different things.

Leterrier's is micro-exaggerated, totally hypertrophic, and that's not helping his monster to look more real.

That may be a problem when we see the Hulk among other things and people. The illusion can be easily broken, we may see a drawing.

Lee's, on the other hand, is very smooth and impressively realistic. I remember when i first saw that pic and went: "Wow, you can actually believe it exists".

Not the case now, and that's why this place is still going on about the issue.

Can you honestly look at the new pic I just posted and say that????

I like to compare how the Incredible Hulk cgi looks to how Hulk's cgi looked at this same point of time. A month before release. Thinking that way I give it to the new hulk.

It does, but it doesn't look like any other shot in the trailer.

That pic is not from the trailer.

It was an official still released by Universal which seems like it is finished CGI.

The only finished CGI in the trailer was the car ripping scene I think and the Hulk close up in the extended teaser trailer.

It's quite easy.

For me, it looks like the dolls of old and amazing effects wizard Ray Harryhausen. Or it could be a close up of a Hulk doll.

It's too plastic. Looks nothing like skin.

One could say that they never intended for it to look like human skin, but still, doesn't mean it looks good to me.

The CGI looks great there.

His muscles look like stone, or some snake thing. It's not like skin. The muscles' hypertrophy is way too exaggerated. They're like ropes in his forearm.

If it stays like that, nobody is gonna believe it, and the critics will rip the movie apart.

really? So you've seen every type of skin there is? Everyone's skin is different, some peoples shines more than others, exactly like hulks is there. In areas especially where the skin is more taut it's more prone to light reflection, Hulks muscles are basically pumping out of his skin, so most of it is very taut.

I don't think critics are going to completely discount an entire movie because the CGI is bad. If the movie is good, it doesn't really matter. But still, it would be nice for the CGi to be better.

HULK's muscles look strained beyond human form and defined beyond human form. Plus HULK shouldn't have fat and the muscle's should look like stone, LOL!!! Here are more shots... and by the way, that shot WAS in the trailer.

Maybe just the overcritical.

Hey Hulkfish can you get a screencap of the cave scene, both when the lightning flashes and when it doesn't, Hulk looks perfect there aswell.

Sarge92.... Where do you think I got the shot??? LOL!!!

This screencap demonstrates the problem I have. Look at where the skin of Hulk's back ends, and where his pants begin. They don't look like they actually have dimension, weight or even form. It looks like what it is, a texture applied to a CGI model rather than something that actually exists.

Somewhere online?

I have looked through the trailer and it is not there.

Could you give me the minutes when the scene is shown?

the first one looks awesome, but the second two look HORRIBLE.

Sarge you can't be serious???? lmao!! You think I'd lie about it?

Here's another impressive shot obviously done with CG... But if a person is actually involved in a shot people have a lot less to say.
