The CGI in that Hulk vs. Abomination clip looks so much better than it did in the trailers. Glad to see that they've been improving it.

After watching those AWESOME clips over and over again and seeing the difference in the earlier clips as compared to the latter...I maintain that the haters have done their job. :cwink:
If you think the haters were responsible for this, you are clueless. This was going to be the end result regardless and I will go on to say I smell an award for best cgi.:woot:

Ang Lee's Hulk was a problem in the way they chose to present it. The story was lousy, and the comicbook tricks were goofy.

But the CGI itself, with that incredible photo realism, was nothing short of great.

This new one is crap, Iknow they spent a lot of money and whatnot, but the rendering delivers cartoonish characters.

Even LoEG's CGI was far better. These new scenes only stress what I thought: the Hulk design is exaggerated (even for Hulk, take a look at the muscles) and cartoonish, and Abomination is one of the weakest pieces of design I've ever seen.

The movie should be much better storywise than the 2003 one, but the CGI is a much, much inferior one. And it shows quite clearly.
You should keep running errands and stay home on June 13th.

I don't know about that. This movie may have enough trouble making money as it is, without Hulk fans staying home...

It will make money. 300 million worldwide easy. That's alot of Hulk money! It doesn't have to top Iron Man. Together they will do 1/4 of a billion dollars. Nuff said.

Could be. Iron Man really surprised me with its success. Not to say it was unwarranted - I liked the film - but it was really firing on all cylinders.

Marvel is so smart to get back the rights and soon will be a force to be reckoned with in the film industry. I see 350 mill for the Hulk. IM2 at 350 million at the Avengers at 500 million. Add that up Scooter. Lota moolah. BTW, one of my best buds from NYC was Scooter.:yay:

Yeah, I don't think the armchair CGI critics had anything to do with the improvement either. They' re overemphasizing their significanse, to say the least. I think the professionals who actually work on the CGI knew and knows exactly what needs tweaking.

Nah I understood, I just like bustin your balls. :oldrazz: To me, it certainly does look more real than 03, 03 as others have said, has far to much of a clay like quality. While fantastic for the time, I cannot shake how much better this one looks for me. I do not see any overwhelming amount of detail to the point of seeing cells.

Fair enough.

First part of what you said is solid.

Second part, loony. :cwink:

I don't think "best CGI," as they did a nifty job making Iron Man come to life. I'd be surprised if this didn't get a nomination, though.

Hey Emerald Beast you seem to have a bad case of 'Advanced-Dark-ee-itus' going on lol!:woot: you need to chill out fella! Most of the overly critical people here will be going to the theatre to see this anyway, and I'm sure its going to be a fun ride!:bh:

I don't think Iron Man will win any awards for cgi, it was really good but I don't think it'll get the title of best cgi.

I loved the Iron Man CGI; I thought it was really good!

oops, I can't seem to get to image to show ~ sorry guys.

It's an image of Hulk and Betty in New York - it can be found close to the end of the pictures thread.

If I'm suffering from Advance-dark-ieitis means I'm doing something right! Just wanna remain positive hoping to spread the "darky" disease to an Advanced stage. Pun intended! :woot:
