Just saw the trailer for this recently - it's here: http://www.apple.com/trailers/touchstone/theinvisible/ if you haven't seen it yet. I really liked it, thought it looked pretty cool - twisty and kind of Supernaturalish. So, basically, right up my alley, and like something fun to go see during the sort of...emptyness of January with no new movies. I wonder what the mystery is - from the trailer it looks like he can't actually affect things in the real world (the bookshelf that resets), how is he going to solve his own murder? I'm really curious. Anyone planning on seeing this?

I've seen the swedish movie it's a remake of, so I'll probably wait for the DVD...

Oh, is it a remake? What of? (I'm not famliar with it.)

But, some of my favorite thriller/horror movies have been remakes (The Ring, The Grudge), so for me that's proven that remakes in similar genres can work, I think it'll be different enough to check out.

Also, really, the David Goyer involvement is really enough to get me in the door anyway. I trust him to write something that's multilayered and solid.

I hope it's utterly fantastic so then Goyer can go on to make an equally fantastic Flash movie. :o

Thanks, Kent. I hadn't ever heard of that one before (Though admittedly Swedish movies usually arne't high on my "see this" list) Remakes of foreign films turn out well a lot of the time, so I'm hopeful! Maybe I'll watch the original after I see this one - I avoided some of the plot synopsis because I don't want to spoil this version for myself, I want to try to figure out the mystery behind it. (Is he dead or not? How can he solve his own murder? What will happen if he does solve it?) Feels kind of like an alternate version of Sixth Sense - knowing that he's dead (or in limbo or invisible or whatever) and trying to figure out how that happened and if he can fix it or not versus the Sixth Sense where he spent the whole movie figuring out tha the *was* dead. I'm expecting an equally good twist in there somewhere!

The Goyer connection is what got me interested in this though.

Bumping this up because this movie is finally coming out next week! I'm psyched that it's finally here - I have been waiting get to see this. (I am so impressed with myself I have avoided spoilers this long!) Anyone else feel like that? :)

Anyway, there's a new clip from this up at Moviefone. I love the creepy dark atmosphere of the whole thing.

Definitely seeing it, been waiting a long time and getting the soundtrack.

Why so? I think it looks like could surprise people by how good it turns out to be after all. Guess we'll know Friday?

the crazy old man, and the part where he says "I'm dead" were a big turn off.

I'm checking this out.
I have no idea when.

Is the main guy in this movie the same kid who played Tom Cruise's son in War Of The Worlds?

^^^

Yep, I'll most likely see it next Saturday after Spidey 3

For those of you that saw this this weekend, what'd you think?

I thought the twist at the end was stellar!

I don't plan on seeing it, so what's the twist? Don't forget the spoiler tags for everyone else.
