Was that sarcasm? Because starting a war over bad intelligence and lies isn't funny.

P.S. America really doesn't make the top 3 in the world's leading spy programs. Britain and Israel have that prestige (if you approve of such activity).

Britain has James Bond :cwink:

[braindead neocon]So what? We've seen reports like this before and nothing can stop the march to freedom for the middle east. Nothing![/braindead neocon]

What sayeth those who still believe this 'report' over and above the people who are actually there saying the opposite thing, or what Wilhelm said about Iran's president NOT denying it?

he's either:

A) playing to his hardline chearleaders.

or

B) trying to intimidate his neighbors.

Wall Crawler, Wilhelm - interesting stuff.

are you referring to their nuke program or the accusations that iran is helping the insurgency in iraq?

Again, I don't really know what to make of it. I'll be the first to admit that I don't have enough information to have formulated an opinion either way.

well, considering that the bush administration has zero credibility on these types of issues since the iraq war cluster****, i'd be willing to believe the intelligence community over anything bush or his cronies say.

I saw Charlie Rose ask Aḥmadīnezhād if they were supplying them and it was ridiculous.

He would. not. say. "No.".....no matter what.
Which, I don't get, if you're secretly doing something like that, then why not lie about it?
It's not like, if caught, the U.S. would go, "Well, Iran was arming our enemies. BUT, before you light up your torches and sharpen your pitchforks, let's remember that they never SAID they weren't. ;)"

And Islamic countries are well-known for saying one thing in English, for the "world", and saying the exact opposite to their own people, in these places where lying to an Infidel isn't a sin.....so saving face upon returning home to their Islamic Barbarian buddies doesn't make sense either.

But anyway, Charlie got pissed and asked him why he can't just outright say, "No, we're not aiding the insurgents.", and he'd just keep saying, "Well....supplying weapons to them, and, :D....helping them is not, LOL...not something....we, uh...would....we'd never want to DO that! :D"

Then Charlie said, "So you are NOT DOING IT?!?"
And he'd go, "Why...:D...why would we want to do that?"

So Charlie would go, "Right! So, can you tell me now that you are not doing it?"
And he'd go "It's, just not....something we would do."

It was maddening.

Sounds like a George Bush response.

I assume you are talking about Iran supplying troops/IEDs to Iraq. I personally don't believe the Iranian government is actively sending people into Iraq. I think it's a grass roots effort that Iran is turning a blind eye to.

ditto.

The press conference yesterday was very strange. There is no threat, there is a threat, this report is a warning. This happened just now three years ago because of our diplomacy that does not exist. Wierd when Bush was talking about WWIII three weeks ago. It seems that the Republican Presidential candidates have been silent, they seemed to be in an "I'll invade Iran faster competition", except Ron Paul. Hillary did her usual non statement. Obama said once again we see an administration that never lets facts get in the way of ideology. Biden said invading Iran grounds for impeachment. A dem said the "I" word!!! I heard someone on the radio saying the CIA just drop kicked the administration.

giuliani's foreign policy advisor, norman podhoretz, who's a hardcore neo-con, claimed that the CIA was trying to undermine the bush administration with this report. these war-crazed jackals are just hellbent on stirring up as much anti-american sentiment as possible. even when all their rhetoric has been debunked, they still don't have the sense to cut it out. if anyone was on the fence about giuliani, i hope this will convince them that he's no better than bush when it comes to foreign policy.

Bump
Imagine that,....I was totaly right and you were all wrong

That's funny. So the C.I.A. is back to being a shadow organization that's manipulating the U.S. government? :whatever: Wrong Bush. The current government willingly leaked the identity of one of its operatives to the public. That act alone is tantamount to treason during the Cold War era. But this current administration has shown to be less grateful and cooperative towards its operatives.

So, basicaly, Bush has been saying for the last year that Iran is trying to make a bomb, yet a report comes out that he knew that as of 2003 Iran had stopped trying to make a nuke? This man's lies never cease to amaze me. Yet, for some reason congress will do nothing about it.

Good lord, what more does he have to do before they impeach his ass?

Good question. He's already taken us to war under false pretense, invaded a soverigen nation, allowed the CIA to violate the Geneva Convention, and that's just a short list. I have no idea how this man keep doging these bullets.

I just am so pi$$ed off at how some people blindly follow this guy. That hypocrit Pat Robertson follows dude and encourages christians to do it in the name of religion. This is as bad as terrorists who bomb themselves in the name of religion. They are blindly following someone in the name of religion and don't even know a thing about the God they supposedly serve.

It's really just amazing how many of you really think the Democrats are all against the war on terror with Iraq and the coming war on terror with Iran. As if it's just the Neo-Cons Republicans... who are btw, members of the same Elitist Organization the Democrats are members of.

LOL.... get y'all head out of y'all a$$es.

Democrats wont do a damn thing to stop anything, because they are just as much for it as Bush & the Republicans. Y'all believe in a illusion to think otherwise. There is no division or split down the middle between the parties.

No doubt.

Let's not actually LOOK at the situation and do anything... let's just point fingers and blame one another.

Sweet.

I'm learning Chinese.

 nobody thinks the democrats are against the war on terror. i have no idea where you're getting that. they're against the administration for all the **** they've pulled, but everyone agrees we need to bring those responsible for 9/11 to justice. that hasn't happened yet and a big reason why is this bull**** war in iraq, which yes, most democrats voted in favor granting the president to use military action towards, until they found out they were misled, like the rest of the country. now the dems are trying to prevent the administration from pulling the same **** on iran, which obviously they are trying to do.
