Well he did say to his donors during the campaign that nothing will fundamentally change if he got elected. Promise kept. Good job, Joe! You were true to your word. :o

Thanks. Though that link mentions Palestinian rioters met with Israeli police. Seems both sides stoke the fire and people here point fingers.

Well, it's hard to say both sides stoke the fire when one side has a torch and the other side a missle.

They both have missiles...and they both fire them.

Why are the people with torches, victims? If you try to stab me with a knife and I shoot you with a gun...you aren’t the victim because I had a gun.

That does not sound remotely like something they should be finding acceptable.

This is just insane. No nation that claims to defend human rights has any business pledging to be the "friend" of a nation that believes it is acceptable to open fire on unarmed civilians. Where is the line here? At what point do Israel's crimes become unacceptable to people like Biden? How many innocent Palestinians have to be killed with American dollars before they finally pull support? Because the inevitable conclusion to this series of events, if nothing changes, is outright genocide. I really don't see how we can avoid that mass tragedy without intervention NOW.

The Israelis are holding all of the power in this situation, and as such are morally responsible for not escalating the violence and causing unnecessary death, dismemberment, life long physical impairment and mental health issues amongst the Palestinians. In your "bringing a knife to a gun fight" scenario, the person holding the gun is absolutely morally responsible to show restraint in response to an attempted stabbing. Even more so if the person holding the gun is an officer of the law.

We've seen this same morally bankrupt logic in our own country. Protesters tossing water bottles at the heavily armed row of cops? It's chemical weapons time! It is truly shameful behavior.

Israel keeps attacking mosques, which is what kicked off the recent retaliation in the first place.

Isreal knew they were using human shields and killed 60 children anyway?

If that's not terrorism what do you call it?

Does this disingenuous act EVER get tiring for those like you?

Which isn't to say that the centers of power and influence among the Palestinians are saints or should be let off the hook... But unless you are choosing to remain ignorant of reality, the facts of the disparity between the power and resources of one side as compared to the other... It is almost as though folk like yourself willingly miss that quite important texture of the situation to preen about "both sides" and to pose as an even handed and objective voice that's above it all.

I don't think "Well... Both sides..." is a viable position at this point.

As stated, it's just a pose.

The human shields argument is the oldest trick in the book and has been used repeatedly by various countries to justify indiscriminate bombing of civilian areas. The Americans used it in Iraq, the Russians and the Assad regime use it in Syria, and Israel uses it in Gaza.

Just like Florida's "anti republican lies" law attempting to dictate what social media sites can and cannot ban (all of it pretty much Republicans attempting to lie), this is wholly unconstitutional and going to get struck down.
