The other day I was in a Macy’s fitting room and they were playing an old Ella Fitzgerald/crooner/jazzy song over the PA and the lyrics were something to the effect of “When an unstoppable force meets an unmovable object”, turns out it’s “When an irresistible force such as you/Meets an old immovable object like me’ from a song called ‘Something’s Gotta Give’. Right away I thought of the scene where the Joker says these words to Batman. Immediately after that I remembered him saying “all the old familiar places” which is from ‘I’ll Be Seeing You’ made famous to our generation by The Notebook. I now plan on seeing the movie for a 4th time to try and catch any others.

Did anyone else notice this?/Can you think of any others?

An unstoppable force vs an unmovable object is a very old saying. He didn't get it from some old song. As for the other one, i'm not sure. Might be a reference, might be a coincidence.

When he says "Hit me!" it's from Britney's "Hit me baby one more time".

LOL

i think these are just phrases that float around in our collective vocabulary and just popped into jonah's head.

In opening bank robbery scene, The Joker said "School's Out" before getting in to the bus, which I think is a reference to the Alice Cooper song School's Out.

The bus driver says "school's out".

I kill the bus driver
(and I also shot the bank manager)

Bob Joker Marley

The joker's got 99 problems but a b*tch ain't one (hit me).

It's not Joker who says that, and it's just reference to - duh! - school bus.

its also a reference to the fact 'School IS actually out for the day' hence ALL the busses when Joker makes his getaway :whatever: we can play the reference game ALL day with TDK too

When Joker says "You complete me" it's from Jerry McGuire, just FYI

i think it was a field trip for all the other buses. i think that's what it said on the transportation website, but i'm not sure.

No, school was literally out. It wasn't a field trip.

Plus, it makes more sense that Joker would plan for the buses to be there at the time the school gets out, since that probably happens every day, instead of him waiting and waiting for a field trip to happen.

I've seen this "field trip" **** a couple of times now. What the **** guys? Is it that hard to understand? I mean, the bus driver actually even SPELLED IT OUT. "School's out. Time to go." Not, "The field trip has started, time to go."
