So gif designers are a thing, huh? Pure art, Hack Snyder could learn a thing or two.

Kane is quite brilliant with his work, yes. And he does it for free, I think lots of studios appreciate his free advertising. His gifs are quite something and he has been doing them long before studios started doing it too. And usually the ones he does are better. So yeah, it is a thing. And I don't think Snyder has anything to do with these posters, to be honest.

I hope, "Do I know you" isn't the only joke from Alfred (like in MOS that soldier girl's "he's kinda hot" line was ruined by showing it in the TV spots)

That "soldier girl" was a Captain in the US Air Force. Soldiers are in the Army. She was an Airman.

could it be that they form one big horizontal spread if you put them together? Looks like it judging by the red light shining on Batman's cape and the fact that they all have some bits of the character cropped out (so as to not show bits and pieces from the other character posters)

Always get excited and letdown at the same time when they might tease us Superman or end up not showing us at all. But I was thinking at some point maybe...maybe Warners would drop a character poster supposedly by Sunday after the trailer releases...of a black-suited Superman. But nothing more.

Still bothers me despite knowing Supes will return (except not knowing up to what length) but not being on the "image" of the Justice League theatrical poster.

I mean when it's something like "Justice League" and that movie is happening for the first time, keeping Supes out of any of the covers...photos or whatsoever is unfair to the source material simply put. It's beyond words really. Degrading, dissing...

Lets face it, Superman is the most important part of the Justice League. He always has been.

Warners could have kept Superman appearing in the promotions up to a minimum, they did that for the first official photo but other than that...I feel like he should at least be the "face" of the Justice League...when they do the main poster.

I'm thinking maybe they'd release a main theatrical poster with Supes leading the team a few days after the film is released...but that would be very rare and probably unnecessary for Warner Bros.

Still, I'm thinking they could have done this marketing so many other different ways. Keep Supes OUT of the trailers, but show him in the character posters maybe. Because without Superman in the promotional posters for Superman, it feels incomplete and NOT "Justice League".

I bet by the time the blu ray and DVD releases, they will make a special cover by then with Supes leading the team.

If Superman is in it for more than a quarter of a movie, then yes, I would agree.

But without seeing the movie, I'm only assuming he's not in it that much and maybe only the last act, which would just distract from the entire plot of the movie (if Superman was marketed as you would like) as people are going in the back of their minds "Where's Superman?"

I know you are one of the biggest gif designers here on SHH and I have mad respect for what you do, it's literally art. But I will have to disagree with you here on the posters being pathetic. I do think they look brilliant, and I'm not a fan of Snyder's take on these characters by any means.

I mean, it's literally photoshopped versions of the actors doing a pose, cut out in Photoshop and pasted on a black background. I wouldn't call that brilliant. Some of them are visually appealing, yeah.

Sometimes less is more. They are quite elegant posts. I really like the posters for both Ragnarok and the League, for different reasons, but I love both.

I hope it doesn't bomb. Lets just hope the final act is extensive. I would find it interesting, if say, we do see Superman return in the middle of the movie, before the Justice League finds him. He'll have amnesia the first time around, he'll be confused and by himself and searching for answers. He'll be on a mini-journey. It might make his role feel more pivotal. I want him to at least some kind of social interaction with the characters in order to faithfully and truly establish the Justice League.

I had been envisioning some sort of epilogue to happen after the final battle where the Justice League have a press conference and Superman speaks to the public for the first time with confidence and explains how he came back from the dead. He'll say he will continue to fight for truth and justice.

I hope the final battle has more stuff other than just battling Steppenwolf's army. Superman rescuing Batman from a parademon or...something else would be cool too. Superman so far has stood for nothing else but collateral destruction.
