This is a continuation thread, the old thread is [split]526973[/split]
He never said it was a fact. It was a mix of speculation and inside knowledge, at least it felt that way to me.
From what I can tell it has zero to do with inside knowledge and everything to do with him pulling crap out of his ass trying to read tea leaves that arent there. Collider does this all the time and then when they get called out for it cry like 3 year olds. (Campea did this just a couple of months ago) They throw some crap against the wall about the DCEU knowing it will get posted on boards like this, they up their click totals and then completely walk away when they are wrong.
Put it this way, I would sooner believe they got scammed by an April Fools Day Joke and ran with it then I would Schnepp has any insight into the situation.
JMC,
Collider heroes is not the Hype. Talk about a false equivalency.
If Schnepp didnt play up his "being close to the business" and his "sources" maybe you would have a point. Maybe if Collider didnt do this all the time to up their numbers you would have a point.
If you say you think this will happen we all know you are just hypothesizing because you are just a random on a message board. Schepp knows no one watching is thinking that when he says his little fanboy theories. Look at how people ran with it here like it was fact. Look at people using his "connections" to legitimize it. That is the difference.
Anyone can post a ridiculous idea from infowars on Twitter and it can be ignored. When the President repeats it at a press conference or tweets about it you give it more weight.
At no point did Schnepp say what he was saying was some type of scoop or in anyway the truth. It was clearly someone spit balling ideas on camera, no different to what many of us here do. It's the responsibility of the viewer to actually listen to what is being said as opposed to thinking they know what was said. Just because Schnepp works for Collider doesn't mean he's not entitled to speculate about the same things we are, and I say that as someone who doesn't care all that much for Collider.
True enough except he then went on to say he was aware of information not public yet that would back up his speculations. It blurred the lines as to what is just a known personality theorizing and speculating for fun and that same person teasing a scoop or insider knowledge. I think that's what is rubbing some wrong.
Think about this logically guys, we're about to get the very first Justice League movie about these heroes coming together.....and they're going to end that movie by retconning everything? A movie that has been said many many times to be acting as the rebirth/redemption movie for Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman and them banding together. Its all going to be erased in the very first film? LMAO. Yeah. Ok. Then what the Hell would be the point of this movie in this first place?
There is no Flashpoint. There is 110% no Flashpoint going on in this. This is just what people who dont like the DCEU want.
Yup
Imagine Flash runs back and erases everything, and suddenly Bruce Wayne is played by, say, Jake Gyllenhaal, in the same movie, and the re-energized Superman is now, re-energized and the loving, humane Wondy (the one that was well received in BvS and possibly WW) is now...loving and humane?
The same folks who ridiculed the Knightmare sequence now expect GA to not go WTF is this s*** when they see Flashpoint in the first JL.
I get it, we are getting a "soft reboot" after JL, Affleck walks out the DC universe is reset by Flash, now we will get a younger Batman, a new actors for Batman, Commissioner Gordon, Alfred, Harley Quinn and Joker.
Maybe we will get rid of Henry Cavill and Gal Gadot too. Cannot wait to see new "Origin" stories for both Superman and Wonder Woman once the universe is rebooted.
They aren't rebooting the universe, it's a ridiculous idea. Being a lighter and brighter universe isn't what the DCEU needs. Just tell good stories and people will continue to come see your movies
Yep.It was 100% clear that Schnepp was just throwing a theory out there. He LITERALLY said "this isn't gonna happen".
