It’s not what you want certainly. I’ve seen an awful lot of huge Thor fans say they love it.

It seems most people on here are comic movie fans and not comic book readers. If you wanted a faithful adaption of the comic book or at least a serious take on it then you would be disappointed with the movie.

Well, I don’t know what to tell you - other than that comic book readers are not the target audience for these films. I know next to nothing about Thor, and was thoroughly entertained. And I know big Marvel/Thor comic book readers who loved it too.

I have followed a guy on the 'infamous reddit' for 3 months now. He claims to actually work for a WB subsidiary in London. He always refused to release spoilers His was always general info. this is his most recent post

You're telling me there was a one take shot on Superman's return?? Damnit!!! That would've been epic.
Not exactly one take, but the original scene was longer... it lingers on for longer but now it's cut short, yeah less epic, but it is still pretty sweet. Don't worry you won't know the difference.
Was the editing "choppy"? Like are there a lot of cuts in action scenes or do you actually get to see the action without being distracted by all these quick cuts?
Most of the choppy bits are at the beginning of the movie , recruitment of Barry, Aquaman and Cyborg are the worst parts, we spend very little time with them now and there is no set up to who they are what their life is. And it gets better after the team is together but then as soon Superman becomes part of the team everything comes together perfectly. The movie is best when Superman is in it. Editing during action scenes is fine, it lacks the musical uplift of MOS and BvS and the signature long single shots of Snyder, but it's not as jump-cutty as some other action movies. Although, Warehouse 2.0 is cut short, which was totally unnecessary.

Just saw the movie, and I loved it, everyone got the chance to shine, but Supes stole the show for me. Had a blast!

Fantastic Knightstalker! Jealous of everyone who's seen it. Looking forward to opening night reactions.

You'd be disappointed if it came as a complete surprise in the same way an Avengers fan might have been disappointed by the first film because there was no Ant Man and Wasp. Doesn't mean you can't enjoy these films a lot when you go in knowing those factors in advance. There's plenty of comic fans here too and many of them were the biggest fans of Ragnarok.

I’m sure you’ll enjoy it, if you’re a Superman fan, you’re in for a treat!

I hope so because he is the only reason why I am seeing this movie. Although I am still disappointed that so much of the story was cut.

Wishing that a lot of you who will love it, despite it's flaws :ilv:( but hey! what is perfect?? Some are more imperfect than other, that's all :woot: all i know is that seeing it yesterday, i am still fond of some scene :ilv: )

A little less than 5 and a half hours to go. I'm going with my brother, my father, a friend and his brother. Based on everything I've read, it seems like I'll enjoy it. I just hope the CG isn't too distracting. Not that it has ever bothered me or is something that I analyze too much.

I just hope the general audience enjoys the movie and it makes money. Obviously it's important that I like it first, but I like this cast and I want to see more with them.

This is the most I've enjoyed DCEU Superman. I was so proud of Henry getting to show his stuff finally.

*Raises hand*

Lifelong comic reader here. Loved it.

WOW MbJ. Nice surprise here. Really happy you enjoyed it mah man. The Superman feedback is giving me chills, fam.

So it's pretty much a safe bet that Geoff Johns wasn't kidding when he told Umberto to get ready to revise his list for Superman's greatest moments when JL hits?

Aside from the adaptation of Flash, this is probably the closest DC has come to capturing the feel of their comics in a long time though.

It felt like a Geoff Johns story anyway. Not in a great way, but not in a bad way either.

Ok so I watched this movie twice today... WOW what a FUN ride! I was fan boying so many times and just geeking out. I couldn't wipe the smile from my face.

Thank you DC!

Superman overall in this movie is the best he's been for a very, very long time. As far as specific moments-- in spite of the CG face bringing things down a bit... Yeah, he's got a few that are up there.

Now bring me a solo movie for THIS Superman, WB.

Voilà

But The First Lee/Jones Justice League arc was dumber to me

Tra El : The only problem is that you will want' way more :ilv:
