It's a little weird for Whedon to be known as a feminist and yet he added this into the movie.

Actually, Flash reacted the way that a gentleman should in that situation, and it was hilarious.

I agree that Ezras reaction was funny, and genuine. But I still contend that the scenario should never have been there. It's not a common thing to accidentally fall face first into a woman's breasts, and she would likely not find it funny. But it's honestly just one issue in a sea of many, for me at least.

Would it have been better to just CG Henry's face?
Not just beard removal but his whole face the way the CG dead characters for the few upclose shots

Did someone wonder on previous pages why was Jason shirtless in this? If he wasn't, specifically in the trailer, this wouldn't even get to 96 mil :P

Saw it yesterday - have my review in the designed thread.

It was ok. Entertaining, but nothing truly special. Probably won't see it again at the cinema due to its all over the place editing and inconsistency.

Hurts saying this for a JL film - fun, entertaining, but average in its personality and possibly forgettable in the long run.

5/10

Saw for second time. Better than first.
Its great. I like a lot.
the room was full, everyone clapping at the end
Great time for DC.

Agreed.

A JL film should be an event film. This hurts me deeply.

When i watched first avengers, i was amazed but i said to my wife: you havent seen justice league yet and i bragged about justice league coz dc world is my heart.

Now justice league really happened and when i saw justice league with my wife, she enjoyed it, she laughed a lot and she liked it.
But me? As comic book fans, as longtime dc fans, i feel sad.

I'm glad she liked it so i can hide my shame that this movie not even close in terms of grandness compared to avengers.

We should be thankful to jenkins, gadot and pine who gave us Wonder Woman, something to be proud of in terms of critical reception, box office and even cultural momentum.
The rest, lets open new chapter with new atmosphere, the bvs related universe has passed away.

I have the impression that whatever DC does is going to be criticized. If it is dark, without humor or on the contrary if it is fun, with equal humor they will judge ...
Warner should focus on making movies with female heroines, the only way ...

Or, they could try to make good movies regardless of tone.

Are we still playing the game where we pretend Wonder Woman only got better reviews than the other DC movies because it's about a woman.

Or they should just trust their director and stand by his product.

Or better yet, stop hiring directors whose work makes them feel the need to reshoot and edit it heavily in the first place. There are many people who have blame in this fiasco. Tsujihara's meddling made for an incoherent and tonally awkward movie, but it's also clear Snyder should not have been asked back after BVS anyway. Their hands were tied because of the production schedule, but they wouldn't have had to smash the movie apart with a sledge hammer and then hastily duct taped it back together if they'd just gotten a different director.

So, you are suggesting that WB should have done what Lucas Film did with Lord & Miller, even though they were almost finished filming when they were thrown out (along with what they did shoot)

Since it was SW, which was going to earn 1 bil +, they could afford such luxury.

People are acting like Snyder was gonna make JL another divisive movie. I really don't think so. It was always gonna be lighter, it was gonna emphasise the heroes, and it would have had a straightforward story with a way shorter runtime than BvS.

That is correct and they stated that even before SvB was released. However many people tend to over look that statement.

Yeah. We didn't hear any talk about WB tinkering with Wonder Woman after Patty Jenkins was finished. You know why? Because the director's cut didn't suck.

Yet WB still deemed it necessary to kick him off the movie, bring in Joss Whedon, and hack this movie to bits.

SvB was cut because of nothing else but the length of the movie that's it.

Perhaps because it still contained some of that Snyder seriousness to balance out the lightheartedness, but WB obviously didn't want balance and thinking the Marvel formula was just to make the movie "fun" and "light", we got what we got instead.

The WB execs deemed the Snyder cut to be sucky. It was tested for them. They also had no idea how WW would fare critically before the social media reactions, hence the review embargo date change. Using their verdict as a metric for quality doesn't make sense.

Kevin Tsujihara needs to go. He and Snyder killed DC in the public’s eyes. Wonder Woman + Justice League should have brought in about 2 billion together. Not only that but all the money the good will for these characters it would have generated and future profits is gone. He’s lost them millions, possibly billions.
