I was inspired to make this thread after reading Batattack's T2 thread. ;)

Which of the three LOTR movies is your favorite? And what was your favorite moment in the trilogy? My favorite would have to be tied between Two Towers and Return of the King, but my favorite moment had to be Sam lifting Frodo and carrying him to the top of Mount Doom. Great scene all around.

Two Towers. I think it's the best made of them all though I can't remember everything about the whole trilogy now. I just know I enjoyed that one most.

Now, I do like these movies, but there has to be some people out there who do not, so I think in all fairness there should be a "I didn't like LOTR" option on the poll, if there is going to be a "They are all great" option

Oh yeah, that's true. I do have a cousin who hates them... "it's just about a bunch of people running around."

sigh...

Yeah, I forgot to add in a "Don't Like" option at the last second. :(

The Fellowship's my favorite. It's probably not quite as good as ROTK, but it seemed to have the perfect tone to it (not too dark, not too light) that really hooks me into it, and probably makes it the most rewatchable three hour movie I've ever seen.

Two Towers- The best.

Fellowship of the rings- A close secont.

Return of the King- It was ok, the other two are much better!

Kevin Smith does make a pretty good argument against the movies, imo

Fellowship no. 1
Two Towers no. 2
ROTK, a distant no. 3

I don't know, it's very hard for me to pick one especifically, considering that these are my favorite movies EVA. So, I voted "They're all equally amazing."

They were all great, but I liked Return of the King best. Then comes The Followship of the Ring.

Which is?

Kevin Smith's opinion = worthless... This is his rationale behind not doing anything else other than pop-culture jerk-off movies, "I no longer can make fun of romantic comedies cuz I sucked at it"... He simply stunting his whole career and growth as an artist simply so he has the ability to look credible on the internet when he bashes things... WEAK :csad:

Those Hobbit movies were boring as hell.

Seriously, I enjoyed Two Towers because it showcased what they could do with CG as far as Gollum. That was the first time I thought, yeah, they can make realistic characters.

For me it's a draw between Fellowship of the Ring and Return of the King. I harbor a slightly irrational hatred of Two Towers, mostly because I can't stand the comic relief moments with the dwarf (he was this close to being the the dwarf equivalent of Jar Jar Binks).

Fellowship of the Ring maybe.

Whoa! go to hell as far as I am concerned! Kevin Smith is gold

I think Movies205 is being promoted back to Hitler!

Can't choose between Two Towers and Return of the King.

All three were amazing.

I agree, I like LOTR and all, but to hate on KSmith, he might be worse then Hitler
