I think it's time to have some elements of organiced crime in Spiderman movies, and with that I mean that there should be a big crime boss in the spiderman reboot series. Not necessarily in the first movie but maybe in the sequels.

Kingpin character is owned by Fox, so that leaves only Tombstone and Silvermane. Or maybe they could go with the noir spidey style and make Norman Osborn the crime boss? (he would still ofcourse be the green goblin)

So, Tombstone, Silvermane, or Norman? Or are you against the whole concept of organiced crime in spiderman?

Will Spider-Man do magic tricks?

Personally, I'd love to see Hammerhead and maybe him mentioning he works for Wilson Fisk or an off-the-record remark that he does business with a mobster in Hell's Kitchen.

But yeah... I'd pick Tombstone over Silvermane.

Only if it would work well. I think some people just want that to happen so that it could be like TDK, which I think is a supid reason to want it. However, if we were to get a crime boos, I'd love to see either Silvermane or Tombstone.

It's not because of TDK that I want, it's because I think that these crime bosses too are a big part of the spiderman universe and not even once have we seen those in live action

the Kingpin in the Dare Devil movie doesn't count

^^ Oh, i never said you specifically. Also ,yes, I agree, they are a big part of he SPider-Man universe. Mainly in the 60's/70's and 80's. Big Man, Kingpin, Silvermane, Rose, etc. Though, there has been multiple Rose's.

No such things, leave the mobb out of these movies...

I'd love for crime bosses. Not because of TDK. But I don't want Spidey to only battle super villains. He should fight normal crooks too, and it would be neat if there is a gang of criminals of some sort that joined because of the obstacle that is Spider-Man.

Tombstone would be cool.

I've seen people in uproar because Batfans mention TDK in other forums as a contrast to the subject at hand. What happens when they don't mention it? You do, and speak for them when they haven't asked you to. I have a lot of time for you, Spideyhero, but it's posts like this that keep the boards devided.

Spidey's got a lot of crime boss type villains. Kingpin, Hammerhead, Tombstone, The Owl, and Silvermane to name a few.

Yeah, you're right.

I wasn't really pointing anybody out specifically though and not necessarily this topic. It's just that I've been noticing some people (not many) seem to want alot of things to be like Nolans franchise including the opening of the film, etc. It speaks for itself whether someone mentions it or not, but you're right.

It would be awesome if we saw Hammerhead in one of these films as a crime boss. I'm very curious as to how he would look on film.

Speaking of crime boss, one thing that I'm not sure would work is if we get Green Goblin trying to be a crime boss, kind of like how he was in the early Ditko issues. Do you guys think that would work well.

That's actually what I really want GG to try. Kinda like SSM as well.

It may come off as awesome, if done right, but I have a feeling that the Goblin should be alone kind of like in Raimi's films. Hmmm...

Yes and yes :)

There's so much more to that guy than the cackling nutjob many think of when they hear his name. He is without doubt my favourite Spidey villain and I'd love to see him be used in such a way.

personally unless it's the kingpin it shouldn't be done the rest just seem pale in comparison.

just stick to super villains

I think that his primary goal in the beginning when "starting off" as the costumed villain should be to become the lord of crime in NY. Maybe he could kill another powerful crime lord in the process, like Tombstone for instance.

However, pretty soon his main target will be Spider-Man/Peter Parker. And he'd of course kill Gwen.

personally unless it's the kingpin it shouldn't be done, but seeing as how everyone wants this to be a carbon copy of batman why not

Nobody, before assumptions joined the discussion, mentioned Batman. Spidey has plenty of crime bosses, all of which had been utilised in one way or another before Nolan gave Bats a makeover. Maybe some are doing what you say... but everyone? Give some credit, eh?

Yeah, that's possible. And, like in the comics, his plans can get foiled multiple times to the point where his only need is to totrture/kill Spider-Man, like in the comics. It became a personal fight.

Personal, I like the Green Goblin both ways. As a crime lord, and as a solo Villian, like with Raimis. So, I'm fine with either.
