The Dark Knight The Man Who Laughs: The Joker Thread 2.0

ok, i figured as much.

Wouldn't be very nice for all those poor folks with no IMAX to be missing out on forty minutes of film now, would it? ;)

See, talking to teh eggz is nice and also informative :D

I was listening to American Afternoons on Air America Radio the
Friday before this previous on and they had a guest on the show who reviews movies, I don't remember his name, he ususually gives bad reviews for all Hollywood movies. Anyway he stated that he had seen The Dark Knight, while talking about the movie he said
that the Joker does die.
I don't have a link because it was one the radio. Air
America does have podcasts of American Afternoon but they are not free.

See whenever you post **** like this at least post a rip or a link to where someone else can rip it. This is a MAJOR spoiler.

Doubt it's true though (not calling you a liar).

I really wish I hadn't read that. *headdesk*

And didn't they make of point in saying that this film won't make the mistake of previous films of killing off the greatest bad guys by the end? So they can use them more than once? I mean, they are already re-using Scarecrow.

Do you realize if that was true (not the spoiler, this entire story) that critic would be blackballed from every advanced screening for the rest of his life?

i really dont think thats true, and if it is, well...dammit...i really should stop clicking on the spoiler button.

Well I don't think it's true, but honestly how much does it spoil even if it is? He's clearly not going to be in the third one now ... :csad: Which is what I wanted to have happen.

yeah, but id prefer if he just like..vanished, and it ended like "well, the jokers out there somewhere..." i dont want the joker to die!

You don't know that.

It would be pretty surprising if they brought in another actor to take over the role. What actor would do it? Very small odds Joker is in the third movie, assuming that it gets made.

Come on guys, think about it. If The Joker is presumed 'dead' in TDK, that would make perfect sense. The Joker was killed in his first appearance in the comics, and has been presumed dead countless times in the past. He always comes back. So even if it in TDK we are lead to believe he dies, that doesn't mean squat as to him actually dieing. It would make it all more surprising in the 3rd film when he appears again (with somewhat logical explaination of why, of course).

I am still curious to know how much of the joker will appear without his makeup. I think that is a great twist to the character. I am shocked that there isnt much discussion on this. any thoughts on this guys?

Like I said before, if he goes to arkham or jail, Ill be happy, if he gets away scott free Ill be ECSTATIC.
