The Dark Knight The Man Who Laughs: The Joker Thread 2.0

Maybe he just has an itch.

Man, 2 inch roots? Joker is losing his sense of style.

Hey, has anyone noticed that the Joker voice sounds different in some lines from the new trailer?

Like:
"This city deserves a better class of criminal, and I'm gonna give it to them"
"I'm a man of my word"

To me, these new lines doesn't sound so good as the other ones.

the only different voice take i didnt like was 'evening ladies & gentleman' from the tv spot, thought the trailer version was better

This could probably be discussed in the trailer thread, or one of the numerous Joker threads.

With Heath being gone, they're obviously not able to have him come back and finish all the lines or record new ones for trailers/tv spots.

The 'good evening' line from the tv spot would have been someone else filling in, as the original was too long for a 30 second tv spot.

The versions we have heard in trailers will be the final versions.

I thought they use his voice from different takes?

Everything I've heard has sounded perfect. Although I haven't watched any footage since trailer #2.

No, the "good evening" line from the TV Spot was from rehearsing the scenes, before they were actually filming...

Please tell me you guys know they do multiple takes right LOL some sound playful while others wound more aggresive

They COULD have taken his original lines and altered them digitally... you know, lowering pitch, changing cadence. They can do just about anything with sound now.

I actually love "I'm a man of my word", but that's me.

I think the new line of "and I'm gonna give it to them" is a different take, or not even the same scene as when the money is burning (as seen in the trailers). the new version we've heard is too slow and doesn't match up with his movements at all when we see him say it in the first TV Spot.

It was probably just a warmup, much like the second version we got of "We're tonights entertainment"

Sorry, I've been out of the loop for a while. I just read that there are perhaps different takes of "and i'm gunna give it to them" circulating around. Could you perhaps link me to them? I'd like to take a listen. The take I heard of that line was perfect so I'm wondering if it was the new one or the old one. Not totally sure I even know what I'm talking about. Just interested.

Well, the less-serious sounding "I'm gonna give it to em" is in the TV Spot #1 at 7 seconds, during the money-burning

And the deeper sounding version is in the latest trailer at about 38 seconds

I wonder what's up with that scene with the Joker's head hanging out of the window of the police car. What a great visual, so jokerish:woot:.

He's enjoying the ride (everything that's happening) and pissing the policemen in the car off at the same time :woot:

That's cool. I got the joyride aspect of it and I love it but wouldn't the window be locked if the Joker is taken into custody ?

I think that scene is after Joker escapes from the police station.
