The Dark Knight The Man Who Laughs: The Joker Thread 2.0

Interesting...

I still hope that there are some subtle nods or hints to Ledger's Joker in the third one. Perhaps a Joker card appearing somewhere to suggest he's still out there, or Bruce having a nightmare involving the Joker...
Smart choice if you ask me.

Ledgers Joker will be iconic.

it is a smart choice

BUt please GOD NO ROBIN!!!!

if anything id rather catwoman as love intrest and an acrobatic thief thats all

you know what would be awesome
is if third is a temporary end of the trilogy
and they include the joker by hinting at him as rumored in that article

and then they move on to do an adaptation or Millers The Dark Knight returns minus superman and the superhuman aspects
with old joker and old bats
I say depp for old joker or even jack N but i think hes too old
and Daniel Day lewis or a makeup applied fattend bale for old batman

and then do another one or two movies where its then been 4-6 years later and some1 of respect and grade a acting skills, fills the shoes of the joker for part 4 and that will be the last of the nolan made batmans:wow:

I know its a stretch but for some reason I see DC trying to force a TDKR movie to come out, wether its good or bad
so hopefully its directed by nolan and its good but i cant imagine it being good if its 100% based on the comic It wouldnt trabnslate as well

Yeah, I don't want to see any Robin in the Nolan series. It'd have too many character elements. I just want Batman, Gotham, and the villains.

So, this may sound odd, but am I the only one who wants to see Heath's Joker laugh. I mean, we've heard it numerous times, and the only close thing is the truck scene from the first trailer, but we have no idea how it will look: thrown back and mouth open like TAS/'89 Joker, close up and wide-eyed like Romero's Joker, or something totally different.

In due time young one, in due time.

We could have Jason Todd, tie him to a bomb or something.

You know, I'd really enjoy seeing a well done Catwoman. Just enough of her would be fine. It'll be nice seeing Eckart (sp?) again. He's one of my favorite male actors.

The one main element of TLH and Dark Victory is the mafia storyline and how they develop then demise. If Nolan could bring that us, I'd be happy as a fresh ****ed sheep. I've always been intrigued with the mafia and how they work. I think that is the reason I enjoy Black Mask so much.

We see brief shots of him laughing in the semi in the first trailer, and he is laughing when he drops Rachel in the second one.

I fully agree with the whole Catwoman thing, hopefully she'll put Rachel in a wheelchair or something. But I don't agree with you ****ing sheep otherwise you can go to New Zealand.:woot:

if they do catwoman , all i want is her not to be a sidekick and or have superhuman powers

a good acrobatic\fighter and a thief\love intrest that is all

Rachael in a chair would be *****in'.

Your right, I better lay off the sheep for a while. I couldn't pass as a bloke, haha. :woot::woot::woot:

dont know if its been posted but cinemablend has details on jokers future and the 3rd film
http://www.cinemablend.com/new/Scoop-Batman-3-Story-Details-8738.html

Rumor has it that the third film will be called "Shadow of the Bat," which is cool, but it was floated around almost a year ago around the Internet, so take that with a grain of salt.

As for the article, if Joker is indeed written out of the third film (which I hope he is), I think it makes too much sense for Catwoman to be brought in. Two-Face alone is cool, but his introduction at the end of TDK may dull the impact of him being the only villain.

With Catwoman, you get another romantic interest and the fact that she acts both as Batman's ally and Batman's nemesis when the mood suits her, which is an interesting dynamic. And as for her fitting into the "Nolanized" version of Gotham, I don't see a problem - she's basically a female cat burglar, nothing improbable about that.

He does lick his lips quite often - cool nonetheless. BTW, since we're on the Joker thread, do you guys suggest I should read The Killing Joke or The Man Who Laughs first?

Nah, I don't wanna see a Catwoman in the third film. For me, Two Face is enough. And it focuses the attention on him as the villain, which is perfect.

I also believe or hope that nobody tries to duplicate Ledgers performance just for the sake of having the joker in the third.

As far as two face....I like him as a villian but for them to try and top this movie the prob will need more than just him to carry the film, especially since he is in this one for a bit already.

Catwoman wouldnt be a bad choice but she is prob too harmless IMO to be a real threat and push the envelope.

I wouldnt mind penguine done right. I know this has been mentioned before (and i dont know if he would do it) but Phillip Seymore Hoffman is a brilliant actor and I feel he could bring something to the role.

One villain is not enough. Batman Begins had two main ones and a few minors and it's the same with TDK. I'd assume the same with the third film.

I have no idea what the plot of Batman 3 could be.

I'm anticipating that Two-Face gets whatever main business he has (revenge on Joker, Maroni, whoever) out of the way by the end of TDK, which doesn't leave much for the character to do in a third movie. He'd have a role, certainly, but I can't see him sustaining the entire film on his own.

And I don't know where you go after The Joker; you don't get more threatening and epic than that. It worked in the last series because the stories weren't, but this trilogy needs to keep escalating, getting bigger and bigger with higher stakes as it builds momentum.

I would love to see Riddler, but that seems like such a step down in intensity because he's such a cerebral villain, without much pop and spectacle.
