The Dark Knight The Man Who Laughs: The Joker Thread 2.0

It sounds a lot like Nicholson to me. He did that a couple times in B89.

For example:

It's at the 29 second mark. It's more of a breathing/gasping, just prior to a laugh.

Mr J has so many different mannerisms, it seems. Just simply amazing.

Good point. Man Nicholson was fun though, wasn't he? He's the perfect "ham" version of Joker :woot:

And it looks like we got messed-up-make-up-Joker here x 100 for TDK :cwink:

Is it wrong that I actually respect how gutsy The Joker is?
Shouldn't we be hating him?

I find myself respecting him more and more after each clip i see, im probably goin to be rootin 4 him in the movie. :oldrazz:

That scene and just seeing Harvey with the coin were the real orgasmic moments, IMO.

I wonder why they revealed all these little bits so much right before the film? Probably to get all of us more excited, cause it sure as hell worked for me.

I just hope we dont get TOO MUCH more extra footage before the film, it seems like so far we've got the perfect amount to hold us over til the film, new pics would be good but otherwise I think with it being only over a month away this should hold most of us over.

I'd like to see an international trailer with a few new snippets but that about it.

I really don't think Nicholson was the Ham version of Joker. That was 100% Cesar Romero.

Nicholson had a bit of Romero in his performance but was also a lot darker.

It's just because of this new version were getting with Ledger that it's seeming to overshine Nicholson's performance.

Absolutely.

Side note: The pic in your avy is the baldest I've seen The Joker look; I only mention because it made a girl I work with ask what had happened to him lol. Must be a stressful interview :hehe:

Yeah, I still have no idea why they had his hair like that in a number of scenes...Joker should always have a full head of hair. They should have never parted it like that.

Yup. I thought he had the perfect Joker hair in the pic that was released where he's sat in the cell.

That and the street shots where he's got the gun.

One shot I love is the quick one where he's laughing in the vehicle. I think he's driving the semi...not sure.

I love how he has that strand of hair coming down over his forehead/face. Reminds me of his wild hair in TKJ as well as part of TLH.

I agree with you totally! I will still always love Nicholsons Joker equally to Ledger's because theyre two completly different interpretations of the character, just like Bale and Keaton are two different versions of Batman, I love them all equally for their differences in performance.

In can say in full confidence that I'm loving both Bale's and Ledger's interpretation much more than Keaton's and Nicholson's, respectively. Hell, it's not even disputable from where I'm sitting. But I suppose each interpretation is its own, so I digress.

Well not that age has something to do with it but I grew up on those interpretations, and if we never had them we would never have what we do now. Im almost 25 years old, so before these new films nothing lived up to anything Batman related in the movies since Keaton and Nicholson and the first Batman for me ( BR was ok), like I said they do compare theyre different versions, theyre not playing the same exact characters.

i'd still like to see the prologue released, so many people have seen it already, i dont think it would hurt
