now that is awesome . :wow:

I LOVE the new Joker laugh! You can here it in the new tv spot.

i think what he's trying to say is that nolan and ledger are trying to be original and not completely and totally ripping off the comics , but apparently that's exactly what people like you want .

And what exactly do you mean by "people like you"

i think he means people who dont take into account other peoples opinions and that you seem to think that your opinion is the only one that matters or is true.

Cmon, are you serious? I mean really? The second or 3rd Joker story revealed that he was perma white when he was knocked unconscious. This is the same Joker from Batman #1. So yes, he was perma white in Batman #1.
It's true that both Batman #1 and Detective Comics #168 had the same writer, Bill Finger. But I think permawhite skin wouldn't have worked in a serious take like this. Nevertheless, it doesn't give a proper explanation to why the TDK Joker only has a white face. I wonder if mr. Nolan is aware that white paint all over is an option.

lol. yea i aint got a problem wiv the geezer its jus i dont understand the fuss over the permawhie green hair thing. i aint got a problem with people who prefer that portrayal but it bugs me when people say he has to be like that or he isn't the joker. if it comes down to looks then you could say batman is completely different from the comics but i haven't heard a song and dance about that!

Oh, such as all these fine folks who flame us for not liking TDK Joker...

i aint trying to diss ya for your opinion. like i've said before i aint got a problem with people who prefer the permawhite version and you proberbly have more knowledge of the history of batman than me. im just trying to say give this joker a chance and dont think that your opinion is the be all and end all of the topic. i loved the joker from the animated series and the killing joke but im open to a new take on this legendary character like all of us should be.:hoboj:

I was just thinking, I wonder if Joker wears his bank mask again in the movie. I have no idea why he would but I thought it would be pretty cool if he wore it again

Look, I'm not putting down the whole portrayal, just the appearance. And when people imply that his appearance don't matter, I find that disheartening.

His appearance is secondary to his attitude, IMO. As long as he resembles the classic joker even vaguely, but still has the same mentality, what's the problem?

Fine, then this could be your Joker

Does anyone else remember the BTAS episode "Be a Clown", where The Joker disguised as a more traditional clown to get access to a children's party?

It could be, as long as he acts the same way.

It wouldn't be the best idea to have him look that way, but for all we know it could work.

That right there ****ed up your whole argument. The Joker's appearance should be adjacent to his mentality in terms of importance. Why should you have to pick? I know I'm not the only one who loves the way Heath's performance is looking so far but will always have the fact that he is not perma-white in the back of their heads. Honestly, I hope Nolan gets a lot of **** for this, and that's not being ant-Nolan, I love him as a director, but I don't think I will ever blindly be part of the Nolan-trust commitee as I was after BB. Inevitably, someday someone is going to ask him the question and I hope 'realism' isn't part of his answer. BB wasn't realistic either.
