S2 E4 One of the best episodes yet, I hope he gets more to do!
I’m about to start Episode 12 (S2 E4) now.
I'm not a Star Wars fan. I've seen all the films multiple times but not a single thing outside of those, so I'm not aware of everything that happens in those storylines/characters from animated tv shows, or comics or whatever.
That being said, I'm really enjoying The Mandalorian. Is not a traditional show and I got used pretty quickly to the nature of it being like a "Adventure of the week!" which feels very old school. It also helps that it looks great. Every episode is like a mini-movie with great action, or a chapter in an adventure book. It doesn't feel like a TV show and that's already fascinating.
At the same time, I'm not excitedly anticipating each episode like I would with a show with a traditional ongoing narrative. Is more of a "Hey! New Mandalorian! Let's chill and see what happens today" kind of feeling. And that's nice.
I bet he was Boba Fett!
I believe, after the events of episode 4, we are definitely headed that way. She's gonna be using those lightsabers, no doubt.
The "Reflection of Venom in his eye" of the 2020's.
And then... Everyone clapped.
If she still has them. She probably does, but when she was seen last she had a very Gandalf the White thing going on, complete with a wizard's staff.
How old are we expecting Ashoka to be in this? Moff seems like a veteran already so it would be interesting to see her go up against him.
She'd be about 45 at the time this show takes place.
Gideon was an Imperial Security Bureau officer involved in the purge of Mandalore, so he's been around the block.
Think Ahsoka should be early 40's here.
She and Rex are around the same age, so yeah early 40s.
Since Rex is a clone, wouldn't he be twice her age at this point?
His body ages at twice the rate of a natural human, but it doesn’t change his actual chronological age i.e. early 40s, same as Ahsoka.
His costume is like an in-between amalgam of Darth Vader (the chest panel and the shiny armor pieces) and Kylo Ren (the cloth pattern on the gloves and belt, and just the belt in and of itself).
Considering the time period and the transition from the fallen Empire to what will eventually become the First Order, it makes sense thematically and visually.
After months of putting it off, I finally watched the final season of Clone Wars and MY GOD. that's all I have to say. I'm really eager to see Ashoka make her live action debut on friday.
Getting really excited for next episode.
I forgot all about this. Great reminder, thanks.
