OMG just everything about this connects with me.
The concept, all it's roots, everything Favreau (i'm also his age and lived in Queens Jackson Heights NY), he invokes all the movies and characters I grew up with; this setting and type of character were my favorite to play out as a kid. Plus directors, cast (Pascal again being a Chilean American connects with me in a deep way) , and these characters, it all speaks to, and is so damn perfect for me.
This is my absolute ultimate SW jam.

And OMG that new RazzerCrest (spelling?) ship is just dam gorgeous.
Carl Weathers in Star Wars! (as head of a freakin Bounty Hunter Guild!!!! ...Gina Carano as (ex Rebel Shoktrooper) OMG!

Even that shot of him on the not-dewback/dino with the gun slung across his back invokes the freaking holiday special where we first met the first Mando as a kid.
He taped into that!

Not loving Carano's costume/look there, seems a little generic sci-fi badass or whatever, but hey, minor quibble.

That shot of the Mando in the doorway is ****ing epic though, haha. Full-on spaghetti-western! The room's even got wood panelling like some frontier cabin or something, that's pretty fresh for the GFFA. We don't really see wooden stuff much outside of, like, Ewoks.

Looks very nice. I'm not a massive SW fan but i'm interested in this, that lone warrior aspect is cool...

Taika Waititi is attached so i'm gonna check it out for sure. It was awesome to see people's reaction when they where naming the director attached to the series, Taika got by far the biggest ovation... well deserved i may add.

This, first there was the infamous gun reveal, and now...^!
Love that he's hearkening back to those kids (he was one of us) who first laid eyes on on a Mando while watching the Holiday Special.
With the disappointing end for the Mando that was ROTJ This is picking up where the Holiday Special placed us.
Yes THAT Holiday special, (the best portrayal of a Mando to date, (until now! for those kids, If you were there, you would know. Favreau's been waiting 40 years to pick up that thread, and here it is!
