Iron Man 3 The Mandarin in Iron Man 3...Love it or hate it? - Part 2

Both Movies changed their villains. But I was a lot more ok with the change that wasn't treated like an SNL skit.

Different strokes I guess, I personally loved Aldrich Killian's "Mandarin".

So Ben Kingsley has confirmed he is working on another Marvel project. Trevor Returns?

Interesting

Maybe a one shot? Or a twist within a twist

Crazy theory time. With Killian dead, a failsafe activated within Trevor, overriding his brainwave patterns with that of Aldrich Killian. Return of the Joker style.

Sure, why the hell not haha

Crazier **** has happaned.

Killian is dead? His explosions while on suit was way bigger than his supposed "final death", he never seemed finished to me.

I'm anxious to see if Killian returns. I could see the twist twist...but it would have to be done executed without cliche's. With Killian having dragon tatoos on his body it would seem he was serious about it. Maybe Trevor was acting and he was The Mandarin and Killian was his son. Killian did speak of his father being an idiot. Maybe Trevor was the boss and Killian wanted to be in charge and felt superior because of Extremis and was hell bent on being the actual Mandarin. Maybe Trevor being a goof was an act in front of Savin too. I am reaching really far. Now that I've wrote it and read it, it seems unlikely and would be extremely complicated.:woot:

I hope not. With the exception of "Agent Carter", MARVEL could be spending this money on better things. Because they are a waste to me. Oh well. :waa:

At 1st my mind raced away with this news, but yeah, a one shot showing what happened to Trevor after the events of IM3 would be the best bet.

Yeah, I just don't see where else he would fit. Although would he even mention it if he's just shooting a short?

Me neither, although you make another good point, why all the secrecy if its just a short. Personally though I just cant see it being anything since he wasnt around for most of the 2nd half of IM3. Since the twist, the character is meaningless in the grand scheme of things.

One idea would be at the end of Thor, we see someone working for Thanos visit Trevor and give him the real power rings and he becomes the real Mandarin, just an idea of course.

If he survived, he missed his best opportunity to kill Tony. If we are supposed to believe the Missile didn't kill him, then he could have just waited and healed, as Tony blew up every single one of his suits. Leaving him literally defenseless.

No way they recant/retract the faux-Mandarin twist. It would be about the lamest cop-out imaginable, and render the core theme of IM3 moot. My guess is that he's just in a scene or two of the short they were contemplating using the unused "Chinese cut" footage.

Tevor decides to ACTUALLY become an uber-terrorist after being paid a visit from a certain purple alien warlord.

eh, I don't know. Every answer is always Thanos lol. What if Marvel was just pulling a fast one, and this was the intention all along?

Or maybe the short is Trevor being killed to protect identities.

That would be aweful, sorry

No way? Trevor was given plastic surgery to be the Mandarin's body double.

Also, guys, remember that Marvel Studios and the Disney Animation Studios are teaming up to make a Big Hero Six animated movie. Kingsley might be doing voice work for that.

Yeah, I don't really see him as that much of an importance in future flicks given how he left off. Maybe it's nothing, we shall see...

I think it would be hilarious if he was used again, as another decoy.

''See...Red Skull, it's not real!....ole, ole, ole! zzzzzzz...Oh and a huge speedboat!''

Ben Kinsley as Trevor, as The Mandarin, and the Red Skull, and Thanos, and The Collector, and the Crimson Dynamo.

I like it.

Really hoping we get a Trevor was the Mandarin all along One-Shot. :awesome:
