Killian does literally say "I am the Mandarin" however that doesn't mean anything. I mean it could if you interpret it that way but I interpreted at a form of him gloating to Tony Stark that he fooled him and ultimately everyone. He was being cocky with that statement. At least in my eyes it came off that way.

I hate to break it to you, but they said that killian is the cinematic version of the mandarin.

It's sad that people are rooting for such a ridiculously lame idea to come to fruition, isn't it? For as much as anyone could despise the twist in the current continuity, this would be exponentially worse from a creative standpoint, and I'd question the judgment of anyone who would get behind something like this. Is it really preferable to be force-fed cliche, by-the-numbers plots as with trite, derivative movies that pander to the audience like Wolverine, Riddick, and Dredd?

This whole "Trevor is secretly the mastermind" business would be a huge creative sabotage.

that was a good video. one of the best honest videos I have ever seen.

I'm sure there's an explanation as to why war machine wasn't in avengers, as well as why odin didn't send sif & the warriors 3 with thor,

and they'll have to come up with something for why captain america, black widow, and hawkeye weren't able to help tony, but the hulk is arguably a plot hole. he was there at the end of the movie, where was he the whole time?

Even though I had a lot disappointments with the movie, not least of which the Mandarin, but I cannot stomach these kinds of videos. To me all they do is cynically nit-pick and tear down anything that a film does. That isn't real constructive criticism or insightful analysis. I get that it's done as a joke but it isn't one I think is funny.

it's a video made for others to understand they're not alone in thinking the mandarin twist sucked.

Especially if by pandering to the audience you mean giving me an entertaining and satisfying experience.

I don't like mixing my "entertainment" movies with my "makes-you-think" or "sends-a-message-to-the-audience" movies. The result, in my experience, has always been dreadful.

Thing is, the 10 Rings were never even mentioned in Iron Man 3. We saw the symbol of the 10 Rings, but that was it.

Their presence was downplayed in Iron Man 2. We saw one dude giving a folder to Vanko, but there's no way we'd know by watching the movie he was in the 10 rings only by watching the credits. Basically his part in the 10 Rings was irrelevant.
