This Gaiman thing is so ****ing awful. I’ve been a fan of his for so long and to read about all the deplorable **** he’s been doing for so ****ing long is just so depressing and demoralising. It’s just not that I admired what I thought was his brilliant and imaginative writing, I also thought he was a good, progressive, decent person. So Epstein is dead. His lady is locked up. But what about the rest? It seems like the American public and courts just pretty much made this go away some how. No other convictions, nothing. The ring leader is dead but the band is pretty much alive and still performing out there. I don’t know, I suppose I was expecting more.

Is it really surprising? Epstein was protected for nearly twenty years, with that sweetheart deal where he was able to leave prison to go to work, among other things, and then resumed his life. And then when he was ultimately brought down, he "died" under dubious circumstances. That should tell you all you need to know right there.

Charged against who, with what crime, and what evidence? Sex trafficking vs sexual assault are very different crimes to prosecute. There are also a lot of complications involved, Sex trafficking is one thing you can prosecute without the victims coming forward.
