I guess it didnt really dawn on me how much the media can get mixed information and publisize theyre version until I saw first hand. Heres the story:
As some of you know, Im security supervisor on the midnight shift at the casino in town. We deal with a lot of crazy drunks. Last Saturday (the 22nd), we had a lot of canadians partying at the hotel. We were responding to noise complaints on the 5th floor when a group of people came off the elevators. One guy saw us, pulled his pants down below his knees (underwear still on), and attempted to give us a half-assed moon. We chased after him right into his room. We decided to let them off easy and tell them to just keep it down in the room or they would be asked to leave. Obviously that didnt do no good, so we just kicked everybody out of the hotel for the night that was staying in that room. We find damage done to the room, and the "mooner" showed up from another room (he wasnt in there when we finally kicked everybody out) and claimed responsibility for the damage. When Tribal Police showed up, we informed them what was going on and even got the guy on surveillance tape trying to moon us. So they arrested him for the damage and for mooning (thats probably not the correct legal term but the exact charges escape me at the moment). Later, we find all of his buddies who we kicked out of the hotel earlier, in a different hotel room sleeping! So Tribal Police came back with City PD and took them to jail for tresspassing.
So, thats the first-person version of what had happend. Want to read what our local newspaper put in the "police and fire" section? Have a gander:
So apparently, this guy dropped his pants and showed us his party sausage when we were questioning him about the damage done to the room. I love the media.

Three arrested
Sault Tribal Police were called to a local lodging complex early Sunday morning after a group of guests began conducting themselves in a loud and disorderly fashion.
Two of the guests were instructed to leave the facility, but apparently snuck back in and attempted to access another room. Shonna K. Olendy, 23, of Toronto and David J. Kasch, 24, of Buffalo, N.Y. were both arrested on trespassing charges and subsequently booked into the Chippewa County Jail.
A third individual was arrested. Joseph T. Barton, 25, of Sault, Ontario is also facing legal problems from activities associated with this gathering. Security personnel were speaking with Barton regarding damage to his room when the man undid his pants and exposed himself for reasons that werent entirely clear.
Barton was booked into the Chippewa County Jail on a disorderly conduct charge and, reports indicate he has already made amends for room damage, putting those charges on a credit card.
So apparently, this guy dropped his pants and showed us his party sausage when we were questioning him about the damage done to the room. I love the media.
