I'm kind of hoping that Guardians of the Galaxy 2 teases the Captain Marvel film.

Maybe introduce Mar-vell in the film.
That would be cool.

I guess it's an eye of the beholder thing. I like that it so far looks different from the other MCU films, and thought things like the way the shots of Strange in different times match up through out, from his time as a surgeon to his wandering desperate phase. That seemed far from bland to me but as I said, eyes and beholder sand all that. Honestly I rarely pay attention to color palettes unless the film goes WAY out of it's way to highlight that. It rarely ever comes to my mind, even when I notice it in a film. Sure, it can affect things like the general tone sometimes for me but usually I just accept the look more or less and move on myself.
Fair enough. Like you said, eye of the beholder and all that.

I hope they at LEAST flash back to Mar-Vell in some way

There is too much to quote, so I will just say I like your ideas flickchick85 and KRYPTON INC.
Eye of the beholder? On Superhero "My Opinion is Fact" Hype lol?
Your avatar is awesome.
That is my opinion, and that is also a fact.

Well, scratch The Kingsman sequel off my movie list.

Why, what happened?

EDIT: Oh, I see. Tatum happened. Oh well, I enjoy him in comedy at least.

I get you. I'm still salty over him as Gambit (my favorite X-Man), tbh.

How can you be salty, when you're a snail?

I'm pretty sure the Gambit film is dead BTW.

I like him in comedies and films that dont take themselves too seriously. Outside of those sorts of films it depends.

I liked him in Haywire, 21/22 Jump Street, White House Down and Jupiter Ascending. Even if those films vary in quality wildly.

You can probably decipher why I hate him.
Of course, and I respect it. Can't say I'd feel any differently in your shoes. He earned that hate, lol.

Snails can have attitude, too! They'd just probably call it something different.

And I hope it's dead. I need Doug Liman to be freed up so he can do Captain Marvel. :sly:

I dunno about the character enough to say if he fits or not, but I'm really excited for his moon heist film.

I haven't heard about that one but just that short description has my ticket bought, lol. Seriously though, Liman's one of my lowkey faves. Even when the scripts to his movies are terrible (Jumper, Mr. & Mrs. Smith to a lesser extent), they've still got this kinetic energy to them that make them highly watchable to me. Jumper less so because that awful script was made worse by awful acting, but the visuals still got me. I even liked his little drama, Fair Game, well enough. But when he gets a good script (Bourne Identity, Edge of Tomorrow), it's just magic to me, and endlessly re-watchable. Imagining him bringing to life Captain Marvel's power-set (Superman-meets-Kevin Bacon in First Class, basically) just makes me giddy. Plus, he's proven he can do kick-ass female leads just fine.

I'd love to know how I got into the topic of my green iguana almost eating my cocker spaniel...Tatum was in TH8, but I couldn't tell who he was. Must have been all the beards. :)

Ooooh, Nosferatu's on TCM.

EDIT: Ok, this version's weird. The inter-titles look like something out of Drive.

I have to admit, I was a little underwhelmed by the Doctor Strange trailer. I mean, I wanted trippy visuals and I got them, so I was overall satisfied, but I think I was just hoping for more...color. I mean it's just a teaser and I'll still probably enjoy the movie, but I really was hoping for Derrickson to go a bit further "out there" with the general aesthetic.

Oh well, these Civil War reviews are making up for it quite nicely.

I was quite impressed with that trailer. I'm definitely not an MCU fan, so I was surprised. It seemed more tense and creative than their usual stuff.

I will admit that I don't know anything about the Strange character though, so I had no expectations that way.

I still have no idea how in many situations the difference between bad and good acting appear to any of you, all I see is people reading lines behind a camera.
If one actor/actress left a good mark in their respective role, it's because they have a presence, a special charm to the scene, not for some whatever is defined as skill.

Don't ask me what I think of 'Z' acting in movie 'C' as role 'F', I won't be able to tell if it's good or not.
