I think it will give him more inspiration for lyrics. I don't think ever song will be like "Come worship the Lord" or anything, it will still be heavy, just from another source.

Listen, I buy all their albums, a vast majority of people do. But if a couple download for free, then I dont see a problem with that. I dont steal music, I actually buy CD's. But for St. Anger I heard alot of bad reviews. So I downloaded it to see what it was like, it sucked, so I didnt buy it.

concerning the P2P arguement...i am stuck in the middle...Yes, I agree that artists should be paid for what they have worked so hard on, and that fans stealing their songs is a slap in the face and wallet to them.

on the other side, there are countless bands i would never have a chance of getting into without downloading them, since i dont have the kind of cash to get every cd that comes out from so many bands, especially since cds cost so freaking much.

I don't have a problem with it if the musicians and the record companies don't. I do have a problem however if they don't give them permission.
The one thing people forget (I think conveiniently) is that it takes blue collar workers to actually produce the albums. If you think it's okay to steal from a millionaire that's one thing, but stealing from a mother in Tawain who needs the security of her low paying job to pay for food is another.

I don't have a link, but it was in the last issue of SO WHAT?!. I saw it on the Metallica Boards, someone posted it, then the administrator erased it. I guess he decided not to make a big deal of it, I guess it happened in rehab from what I gathered, which does make sense.

I thought St Anger was badass, btw has Hetfield become religious now?
Thats a bit gay if he has, Hetfield is suppossed to kill stuff, like animals w/ his gun.

They (Load Albums) were not really Metallica for me when I was 16/17, just abit of a shock.
St Anger was much more like it- an unholy racket.

I consider the Load albums to be far superior than St Anger, and I already stated my reasons

  25. Metallica's first four albums are as amazing as it gets. However, they died when Cliff was killed and their drive, hunger, and talent as musicians died along with him it seemed.

Plus, you know, they did run out of Mustaines riffs.
