Those of you who are aware of this, what do you think? Do you think that it's real? Do you think that it's a warner and unintentional intimidator? Is it just some unusual being that feels like scaring off people whenever it feels like it?

Personally speaking, this thing scares the crap out of me. I think that this thing is real and think that it's a weird type of calling card who accidentaly scares people.

I'm going to be honest & say i'm a bit skeptical on this. I regard this the same I would as Bigfoot, Yeti, & other folk legends. I'd need concrete proof to "believe" in it.

Apparently, the last time it was spotted was in Japan, earlier on this year from the sound of it (February). Before the earthquake struck Japan.

Pictures can be fixed or doctored. There have been numerous reports, supposed sightings, & even footage on Bigfoot, but the fact remains that scientists or people who pursue him have not been able to find a viable trace of DNA or something to prove its existence. I'd catergorize Mothman the same.

The movie was good. But I don't know what to think of it. That there would be this "cosmic joker" that has an actual physical form? I'm rather sceptical. But it's interesting.

"People reported seeing the Mothman just days before the Mexico City earthquake in 1985."

"There have been many interviews in Chernobyl from those that said they saw a winged man-creature, right before the nuclear reactor disaster in 1986."

"Minutes after the Twin Towers’ destruction on September 11th, 2001, observers reported seeing “winged, flying men” flying near both towers. The picture (at left and right) shows that the flying creature is much too big to be any kind of bird."

The Mothman....is the same effect that was documented in the Nome Alaska cases that the movie the 4rth kind was based on.

Seriously...all those people thought they saw an Owl..... Owl...Moth.... all the same, big eyes .... = Grey Aliens messing with us.

Or CIA guys laceing isolated comunity water suplies with LSD with LSD and messing around with residents

I think those photos are doctored. I wouldn't show them as any evidence of this creature.

I'll remain skeptical until concrete proof presents itself. As for people reportedly seeing it, they have a propensity to embellish stories & so on.

It's boos**t. Just like Nessie, Bigfoot, the Greys, and the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man. :o

That's cuz it's boos**t. All those so called sightings before huge disasters probably didn't show up until after said disaster. It's just a bunch of made up boos**t by people trying to get some attention.

But the Chupacabbra is in fact real. :o

You're boos**t. Mothman, Slenderman and the Rake had a rave in my bedroom last night. Didn't sleep.

Need skin grafts. Rake can be a bit rough.

I think these worldwide sightings or bogus, but I do think there is something to the original Point Pleasant sightings. There were just too many reliable witnesses in that case for it to be a load of bunk. This doesn't mean that it's anything paranormal, though. It could have just been some strange animal that looked odd in the darkness.

While I'm a sucker for cryptozoology, I don't believe any of it.

EDIT: Also, Bat-Matt, you might want to change your sig on the whole Egghead, Quinn, or Catwoman part.

Mothman and Slenderman had a rave in your bedroom with a rake?
