The NEW 2014/2015 NBA thread: Not the Lakers

Start of the 3rd. Let's see if we play any better.

72-70 Heat lead heading into the 4th.

Loving how LeBron seems to have taken the entire Miami fan base with him to Cleveland.

Miami empty?

Seemed like it. They just came to life though, as they've now taken a 6 point lead.

Their rookie James Ennis just went to town and threw down a massive dunk. Play of the game thus far.

Heat up 99-92 with a little under two minutes left.

I still think it's a different game if we have Beal and Nene playing, but oh well.

Probably, but at least you guys put up a fight.

The Knicks stand no chance tomorrow against the Cavs.

It's just frustrating because it's evident that Miami isn't the same, outside of a great game by Norris Cole. If we put up a fight without some of our main pieces, I'm confident in the rest of the season.

Oh man, that's going to be a rough game. LeBron's opener :wow:

I think the Wizards are gonna have a good team this year. Especially one they get there main pieces back.

Yes it is, don't think it's gonna end good for the Knicks. I'm not looking forward to it as a Knicks fan, but as a basketball fan I'm very much looking forward to it.

The Knicks have a real tough first 4 games and judging from tonight this thing is gonna be a long process. The shooting from their guards tonight was absolutely horrendous. I think they were 2 of 15 from 3pt range which ain't gonna do it. Once the bench reserves came in during the 2nd quarter it all came undone and the Knicks put zero effort into playing defense.

Phil is clearly going to have to continue to tweak the roster during the season.

I certainly hope so. I'm already bookmarking November 4th, by the way, since that's when they travel to NY to play the Knicks.

Honestly, yeah, I see it being a pretty easy game for the Cavs as well. But like you said, it's a game every NBA fan will be watching to see LeBron return in a Cleveland uniform again.

I would love to see NY somehow spoil that party, though.

I didn't expect much out of Cole getting the starting nod, but yeesh, 23 points? Excellent start from Bosh and Wade. We need to get McBob healthy; anything to help the offense establish a flow. I'm already expecting the movement to be dreadful some nights.

I know Milwaukee is Milwaukee, but blowing that lead tonight was shameful.

That building wasn't close to empty or quiet... but those who feel intense passion or dislike will have said intense passion and dislike manifest itself. :sleepy:

I never feel intense passionate or hate as an NFL fan or a NBA fan. Even when my teams are terrible, I admit it.

Other than the 4th quarter when Miami started to click, that stadium was quieter than I've ever heard it. It wasn't in the season opener form that it had been with LeBron around, that's for sure.

Bulls put a whoopin' on the Knicks.

That was a "You f**ked up Melo. You f**ked up." game.

Melo is back at the hotel, checking on his money and reading over any buzz from his spot on Sons of Anarchy.

Damn shame about Julius Randle.

Celtics crushed the Nets. Hopefully we can carry this momentum to Houston. :DV:

Yeah, he got the money...but he will never get a ring.

Well, unless he buys one.
