While Adam Strange will have some changes from his Pre-52 history, he'll still be the impetus for their interstellar travel thanks to his Zeta Beam instant transfer. His wife, Alanna, will be much more involved with his adventures than ever before, Lemire says. The characters are sharing the "swashbuckling space hero" status - with Alanna actually being more of the hero while Adam's more of "a nerdy science guy."

Adam has always been the hero!! Why does elevating his WIFE have to be at the expense of the HUSBAND??

Aquaman and Mera are darn near equals and it works fine!

Yeah but you always have insane crazy requirements for characters regarding the New 52 so yeah you would think this. Adam has always been a scientist and maybe the hero just has yet to come out. Mera and Arthur hold Royal seats of course they will be seen more as equals.

Maybe the hero??? So you're ignoring over 40 years of history?? Dude.......he was the hero on Rann! Just because he was a scientist, he now isn't the action hero?

Doc Savage??? Reed Richards??? Hank Pym???

You can hold royal seats but still not have the skill in combat.....Mera is very skilled.

I haven't been keeping up with these announcements, so I didn't know about JL Canada, but color me interested in this new book. That roster is amazing. Adding this title to my pull for sure.

Look CHIEF!! Reading is fundamental! I SAID THEY COULD BRING ALANNA UP WITHOUT TAKING ADAM DOWN!!!

Now she's the fighter and he's not! They have switched their roles and NOT made them equals!!!

There seems to be an animosity toward males by either substituting classic male heroes for females or making them homosexual.......(Wildcat, Dr. Midnite, Dr. Fate, Manhunter, The Question, Black Panther, Alan Scott) Yes feminization.

But I guess you cant say this anymore???

Adam Strange was the hero of Rann.....ray gun blastin' , jet pack totin', space jockey. He's friggin' Buck Rogers!!

But now his girlfriend is the warrior and NOT him??

Just answer this? Why couldn't they give her more without taking from Adam??

I'm really glad DC are bringing Adam Strange back and bring back Captain Atom but in a cosmic adventure like when he started out and bring back Space Ghost that would be interesting or at least in a DC Universe Presents or something.

oh an i know we got a cap atom new 52 i just meant retell some old stories but in the new 52 style.
