The New Improved Official Stupid Question Thread Marvel Edition

You post questions, someone'll post answers. Plain and simple. There's no such thing as a dumb question here, but before you post a question, see if someone already has on this thread. Also, If this is bumped regularly (which I'll probably do), then we'll have less new threads started. Finally, I'm sorry if there was a previous questions thread, but my computer won't load the search feature so I couldn't check.

With that said, I have some questions of my own.

--Who're all the characters on the cover to Marvel Team- up #15? (Excluding Dagger, Gravity, and Speedball)

--When exactly did Elixir gain his gold skin, and what, if anything, does it do?

--Who are all of the current X-teams, and who are their members? (New, Astonishing, Factor, etc.)

Feel free to post any questions! Elijya can probably answer most of them on his own.

Well, I can help you on the last two questions right off the cuff.

Elixer gained his gold skin at the very end of the second New Mutants series, the predicesor of New X-Men: Academy X. He was wounded by Wolfesbane, but his body adapted after they thought he was going to die and it turned gold. It really doens't seem to do much, other than give him a slightly unique look. It was around issues 11-12 or so. The arc was from 7 through 12 I believe. 13 was an aftermath issue that tied up the series before it became Academy X.

And as for current line ups:

Uncanny X-Men - Bishop, Cannonball, Rachel Grey, Psylocke, Wolverine, and occasionally Storm.

X-Men - Havoc, Polaris, Iceman, Gambit, Wolverine, and Rogue

Astonishing X-Men - Cyclops, Emma Frost, Beast, Kitty Pryde, Wolverine, Colossus, Lockheed

Excalibur - Captain Britain, Dazzler, Juggernaut, Nocturne, Pete Wisdom, Sage

X-Factor - Multiple Man, Rictor, Siryn, Monet, Strong Guy, Wolfesbane, Layla Miller (from House of M)

New X-Men Academy X - Hellion, Rockslide, Mercury, Dust, X-23, Surge, Elixer, and several background characters, though we don't know excatly who's staying and who's going at this moment. Cyclops and Emma show up a lot as well.

I think that covers it,.. but I have to leave so I can't double check.

I wanna know...where the hell is the Watcher?????
He used to always be there to warn the heroes about some upcoming problems.....he might have warned the Avengers about Wanda earlier.
Not a good sign when the Watcher doesnt want to Watch the Marvel Universe

Recently Storm quit the Uncanny team and Nightcrawler replaced her as team leader.

Polaris has been rendered powerless by Decimation and Havok and herself have quit the team.

The last I've heard of the Watchers had them at war with the celestials. Perhaps they're still engaged in fighting? Maybe they'll play into one of the 2006 events.

there's a thread called The Stupid Questions Thread that's intended for stuff like this. This should be merged with it

maybe he's finally trying to keep his "no interference" pledge?

And the Watcher was in GLX-Mas, which just came out the other week

Man, I'm full o' questions,but...
Where is Terror, INC. from?

And, secondly, how do I post a picture as my avatar?

Terror Inc was a marvel horror character who had his own title for about two seconds back in the early 90's. He hasn't been seen in a good ten years

you have to have 300 posts before you can have an avatar

according to the Marvel Chronology project, he only ever had 23 appearences, 13 of which were in his own title

Speedball's new costume really sucks. I'm not saying his old one was a classic or anything, but at least it was distinctive.

Terror Inc. had the badass zombie power of being able to replace his limbs with other people's. He'd gain whatever powers the limbs had, too. Check him out.

Terror Inc and Darkhold Redeemers were two highly underrated titles of the early 90's

Yea, I have a quick question about Avengers Tower as it was drawn in "Marvel Team-Up #15"... what was that black thing on top of it? Since when did Avengers Tower have a giant statue on top... or sundial... or something... It was odd... I've only read New Avengers 1-6, so maybe it was added later? I dunno... Anyone know?

Whoah. This guy's teamed up with a bunch of young heroes? Sounds interesting.
the story arc is called "League of Losers". Only one issue out so far, pick it up, it's damn good. Basicly, superbad villain takes care of all major superheroes, but forgets about all the minor, crappy ones, because he either had no info on them, or doesn't consider them a threat. And that's where we are so far

Is it just me of does the Avengers having their new base in a tower in downtown New York in the post 9/11 world seem a little irresponsible. I mean sure there hasnt been a serious supervillian threat in the Marvel Universe(they fight too much amongst themselves) but if the Master of Evil really wanted to do some damage it wouldnt/shouldnt be too hard

My greatest creation still lives. Pretty sad this is my greatest creation.....:(

Anyway, to answer your question Roach. I agree. Im really against public superhero hangouts but its been done for years why question it now?

LMAO Wolverine is on the 3 main X teams and New Avengers??! What a trip!

X-Men - Havoc, Polaris, Iceman, Gambit, Wolverine, and Rogue

Excalibur - Captain Britain, Dazzler, Juggernaut, Nocturne, Pete Wisdom, Sage

And his own title and usually at least one guest star and mini a month. Dude needs to leave them all save one team comic and his own. But then I've been saying that for years. I've heard lately that Joe Q stated he was gonna cut down Wolverine appearances, but I think I'm still waiting.

In one month I counted I think 17 comics he appeared in. I could be remembering that wrong, but that number sounded right. I think they were 1) Wolverine, 2) X-Men, 3) Uncanny, 4) Astonishing, 5) New X-Men (or maybe it was New Mutants), 6) New Avengers, 7) Amazing Spider-Man (with New Avengers), 8) New Invaders (Enemy of the State Tie In), 9) New Thunderbolts (Enemy of the State tie in), 10) MK Spiderman (with New Avengers), 11) Secret War, 12) Pulse (secret war tie in), 13) Wolverine The End, 14) Wolverine/Hulk, 15) Weapon X (either the end of the ongoing, or the new mini, I don't remember which), X-Men Unlimited (at least one story a month), and I think a few more. It was during the later parts of Secret War and the beginning of New Avengers when this happened. Now that is just rediculous!!! And then shortly after those they go and make him the main star of House of M.

Don't forget, he's also in X-Men - Deadly Genesis.

It is a problem, but on the other hand, he was one of the best things about HoM. His mini is considered one of the best by many people on the Hype, and his regular series might be one of the best things to come out of it if done correctly.

Oh, I actually like the character,.. I just don't like him being everywhere! Anyone who gets over exposed is annoying. Currently Emma Frost is becoming what Wolverine was/is. Though I liked her in Generation X, and early New X-Men, since she became co-headmistress of Xaviers, she's been everywhere and is becoming more annoying than not because of it.

And that list I gave was from a while ago. X-Men: DG is more recent.

marvel chronology project might be able to help you out. Who knows, there's might even be months where he appeared in MORE titles.

I'm thinking if you look back around the Infinity Gauntlet/War, where EVERY book crossed into it, it's possible he appeared at least in the background of almost every marvel book for those months
