The New Improved Official Stupid Question Thread Marvel Edition

Okay so in another thread someone posted the breaking of batman. I remember that issue and how it went yadda yadda yadda. Then in 500 we see Jean Paul kick the crap out of Bane. So my questions are....

When did Bruce finally come back? What happend when he did? And did he and Bane ever face off again? If so did he kick Bane's head in the second time?

No. If you get hit with gamma radiation you'll change into something else probably. Typically gamma radiation does something different to everyone. Look at a list of gamma irradiated people and you'll see that it can do very different things to different people.

The Abomination
The Harpy
The Leader
Madman
Doc Samson
Sasquatch

All of these people were given their powers through gamma radiation but with different results.

So in one way it does make sense that the Abomination got webbed ears. Because different people react differently to gamma radiation.

Saquatch didnt get his powers from gamma radiation.

Rather WL's tests weakened the interdimensional barriers betwwen worlds and allowed Tarnaq to possess him.

That's a retcon. Originally it was due to gamma radiation.

It may be a retcon but its a retcon that stuck and considering Byrne created AF and Byrne also wrote the retcon into the Origin is it a Retcon.

Besides that was the first incomic retelling of the Origin and the retcon followed shortly.

It also explained why Sasquatch didnt receive the one mutation common to all Gamma irradiated characters.

How did Heinrich Zemo survive, semingly unaffected by the ravages of time, to face Captain America and the Avengers? I mean, with the sliding timescale and all...

Also, why did John Watkins, an Englishman, assume the identity of Citizen V? I mean the name. There are no citizens in Britain, only subjects.

No, he was English. The original one? Yeah. John Watkins isn't really a polish name...

Why are half breeds like the fantastic 4, incredible hulk, captain america, spiderman, and etc.... called humans but they have mutant abilities. humans cant do what they can do so technically theyre not human anymore, shouldnt they get a label like beta-mutants or something??

Bruce traveled the world recuperating and regaining his focus.

If I recall correctly he trained with Shiva who had Bruce kill a man to graduate. Bruce tricked Shiva and only knocked the guy out.

Then he went on a hunt for Bane and handed him his head.

I think they are referred to as altered humans

ive never actually heard them calld that what book is it in

I think KAD is just speaking in general throughout the comics. Character such as The Hulk or Cap are refered to as "alterd" or "enhanced". Might be in one of the handbooks as well.

Thanks KAD

Just bumping this because in all honesty, it should never leave the front page.

For all I know this question has already been asked and answered long ago, in which case I guess it would qualify as stupid now. At any rate:

When Uncanny X-Men first started providing background information on Magneto, it was strongly implied that his family was Jewish. In Avengers, I believe, it was revealed that Wanda and Pietro were raised as gypsies. Now whenever their mother's background is mentioned, everybody seems to believe that Magda was a gypsy also. Where was that established? In one of the books did somebody come right out and say she was a gypsy? Just wondering.

Okay, let's return this to the front page. And does anybody have an answer to my question (asked above)?

i don't think that it's ever been officially stated. there are just a few clues like...

1. Magda being a very common name among female "gypsies"/romani

2. the absence of the star of david or any other identifyer in all holocaust-era flashbacks of her

3. one of the flashbacks of Magda (actually Onslaught assuming a telepathic disguise in Fantastic Four #415) showed her in gypsy garb stepping out of a caravan
