Hmmm.... some things I like, other things not so much. The Silver Surfer looks very unfinished.
I like Star Wars a lot, but I don’t count myself into their fandom. Which is probably why I love Episode 7, Solo, Obi Wan, Book of Boba Fett, and I though Andor was boring and pretentious.I don't get everyone's beef with Obi Wan, I personally thought it was swell.
But then again, I just watch enough Star Wars to have a polite conversation with folks.![]()
Galactus can alter his sizeThat was a bad trailer. The footage itself is fine for the most part. But the trailer itself felt like two smashed together and rushed.
Is that suppose to be big G at the end? If so, why the hell is he so small?
Also, love interest for Johnny.I will say that I had a suspicion that they made Shalla Bal the Surfer instead of Norrin to distance themselves a bit from FF: Rise of the Silver Surfer and after watching this trailer I'm starting to believe it. Of course they're going to do a better job at adapting Galactus but the fact that there's another scene of Johnny chasing the Surfer with similar beats as ROTSS is...well, it's interesting.
There are more then a few shots that look like the Story movies. Which makes sense but is also funny.
I dont care who wins. I just care about both doing well and being good and getting sequels.Calling it now. Superman is beating FF at the box office. I'm not sure if it'll even be close.
Of course. But I'm kind of shocked by the marketing for FF. It's weak and rushed.I dont care who wins. I just care about both doing well and being good and getting sequels.
I say both of them can be happy to get 600M.Calling it now. Superman is beating FF at the box office. I'm not sure if it'll even be close.
The interest has been there for it though. It's gotten all the attention of the movies this year since the long casting process. The marketing for this I expect to kick into high gear after Thunderbolts is gone. Marvel tends to not over do the marketing of the next movie after the current one that's coming. They'll still have 2 months once Thunderbolts has been out already to get that next gear. It will be fineOf course. But I'm kind of shocked by the marketing for FF. It's weak and rushed.
Possible. But with the three heavy hitters in a row, one of them is falling below the others. And I don't think it's the Dinos.I say both of them can be happy to get 600M.
I'm a movie about arm wrestling starring Rocky. It's easily better then 90% of the MCU on that basis. Cobra is of course better then the entire MCU.
The old way of marketing these movies was fine, when they were hot. When they were hot, Thunderbolts low end box office prediction at this point would be 85m. That's not how it is now.The interest has been there for it though. It's gotten all the attention of the movies this year since the long casting process. That was a different time, a different place. Before the majority of this country were in fact Nazis.Yeah I mean who doesn’t want to watch a Nazi arm wrestle
I think it's down to the idea that Doom and Galactus weren't done "right".I am surprised Marvel is using Galactus as the lead villain right off the bat with the Silver Surfer storyline, given how much of that was already done in the last Tim Story FF movie. Normally Marvel shies away from that and uses a villain that hadn't been used before when they adapt a legacy character that a previous studio had control of. That is why we got Vulture as the main villain of Spider-Man Homecoming when the MCU did their solo Spider-Man movie, instead of immediately going to the Green Goblin or Doc Ock well.
But Fantastic Four is starting already from a position of strength say Thunderbolts hasn't. The news cycle has covered this movie more than any other upcoming MCU films other than Spider-Man 4 and the 2 Avengers movies. The other struggles don't really matter because the FF has shown a staying power already in the hype machine some of these others haven't. They've had some real struggles at he box office recently. I get that it's two superhero movies, but other studios competently advertise two major flicks at the same time all the time.
