*The New Superhero Cinematic Civil War Thread - Part 61

Once again Andor asks us: What if a streaming show was good?
This shot alone clears anything else they've put on that platform!

You know, I will say, as one of the few people on this board that actually really enjoyed Daredevil: Born Again, Andor truly is a breath of fresh air among all of the Disney+ streaming shows. It’s nice to be back in this world again.

Also, while I'm feeling unusually nice about Star Wars at the moment, I'd like throw in a shout-out to Skeleton Crew. I had zero interest in that but ended up watching it while visiting family a couple of weeks ago, and it was a good time. Not Andor good, but honestly, what is? Certainly better than the other SW shows, though.

Jude Law abducts children promising adventure. :awesome:

I adore Skeleton Crew. And I think it works because it knows what it is. Going to make Amblin Star Wars, then do it. Endearing kids, brisk pace, some real danger.

Star Wars can wear many hats. I don't think it's a coincidence that all these recent fails have been going for the same basic idea and whiffing.

Spielberg does Star Wars.

Yeah as much as I really enjoyed both Born Again and Skeleton Crew Andor is just on another level entirely and it has never been more apparent than after watching the first three episodes for Season 2.

This show just cooks man and I'm so glad it's back and with TLOU Season 2 being a banger so far its just nice to have two great, quality shows going on at the same time that couldn't be more different from each other.

Andor from the first scene in season 2 alone just shows how far away it is in quality from the rest of Star Wars and streaming shows.

Also, I'm more shocked that they were able to say "rape" in a Star Wars property.

And also, Mon Mothma:

I come into this thread with everyone hating on Born Again, which I enjoyed, and also praising Andor, which I really don’t like. Now I feel the need to walk out with Lonely Man playing:

They’ll all respect Born Again’s storytelling in hindsight when the Safer Streets initiative becomes real and global.

Because, Project 2025. :o

Yeah, I unplugged for like a week between that and the FF discussions, lol! People are entitled to their opinions. I thought Born Again was great as well
