Who do you think should be the next Batman director?

Bring Tim Burton back please, since he got screwed over. We need his Riddler.

I think his style would go well if the DC universe is to be based around Synder's MOS.

On the thread mentioned his proteges, the one who directed Mama. I wouldn't mind that.
But Del Toro has to be the main guy! Didn't WB want him for MOS?

And that avatar, Brain Damage :lmao:

I hope Cuaron does JL. Because he does really well with handling multiple main characters on film.

The dream choice is Fincher, but it will never happen. I still kind of want to see Aronofsky. But he seems to have issues staying on superhero projects.

i like the guillermo and alfonso suggestions. david fincher and darren aronofsky would be great as well ( as long as he doesn't go the "year one script " approach . ya know, with the ....."big al " and stuff..... ) , but they're highly unlikely . lol . judging by " pi " i think an aronofsky directed movie with riddler would be pretty damn amazing.

i think if, given a chance, schumacher could pull off a " dark , serious " batman film. it'd be ballsy to try and bring him back though, after... ya know....

    perhaps maybeeee.....

    luc besson ?

rian johnson seems to be a popular choice as well. a lovely choice, especially if they choose to continue the nolanverse with JGL, but that obviously won't happen. lol

I'm hoping for any of these: David Fincher, Darren Aronofsky, Ben Affleck (as long as he doesn't cast himself in it), Paul Thomas Anderson or Paul Greengrass.

Sam Mendes would be interesting but I'm still hoping for Darren Aronfosky. He would be perfect. Dark but not unwilling to try something that's less grounded and would freak people out.

I say go left field again and get another new up-and-comer just like Tim Burton and Chris Nolan...

Less grounded , as grounded on reality ? Darren Aronfosky ? It would be the other way around. At least from his past involvement with the character.

That's what I want personally. Not some known director who we've listed several times on Hype.
