Entertainment Weekly is saying the same thing. Even Deadline is saying that Asa is among a group of actors in contention. Basically every single outlet is saying that nothing is final yet.

El Maybe himself said nothing was final.
Meh, if Asa doesn't get it no biggy as long as the person who eventually gets the role is good.

I'd be kind of disappointed if Asa got it.

main reason being I think he's a bit too tall to play HS age Peter.
