‘The Night Agent’ Gets Netflix Premiere Date, First-Look Images – Deadline

Created and showrun by Shawn Ryan (S.W.A.T., The Shield, the 10-episode drama stars Gabriel Basso as Peter Sutherland, a low-level FBI agent who works in the basement of the White House, manning an emergency hotline for American spies that never rings. Then a call comes in from a terrified civilian, Rose Larkin (Luciane Buchanan). Peter must protect Rose and work with her to uncover a fast-moving and dangerous conspiracy that ultimately leads all the way to the Oval Office and threatens the country.

I've only seen the first 3 episodes but they are enough to keep me going. The series is on par with 'Designated Survivor', Terminal List' 'Shooter' and 'Condor' it feels like one of those series you expect from NBC or FOX to air on a Monday or Thursday night.

I binged this over the weekend not expecting much from it and ended up really enjoying it. I definitely recommend it if you enjoy solid, gritty, conspiracy, action shows like The Terminal List.

Also, its nice seeing Hong Chau pop up in so much stuff now.

I'd say it's 100% getting renewed, but then again I thought the same of '1899'

Is this a remake of The Bodyguard with Richard Madden?

No, far from it.

Binged this over the weekend, i felt the first couple of episodes were rough, the dialogue, the plotting, the acting...everything just seemed off..and I was struggling to get behind the lead actor but...as the series and the plot progressed I became more and more engrossed and the lead became more and more likable and comfortable in the role and ended up really enjoying this by the end. Definitely down for season 2.

I loved this show, my favourite espionage series since 24. The story kept me invested and intrigued throughout the ten episodes and i loved the dynamic between Peter and Rose at the center of the story, it gave it a real heartbeat. I also liked the way we saw the story from several points of view with not just Peter and Rose on the run, but the White House, the Secret Service and the two crazy assassins. It took the chase thriller, the political thriller and the espionage thriller and meshed them together beautifully!

That was quick, that was very quick.

Excellent!

I didn't realise this was ready to drop so soon! :wow:

i've watched the first 3 episodes so far. Amanda Warren's role as Catherine has been my favorite of the season so far. I just have been enjoying her delivery of lines and how she's playing the character.

Rose is surprisingly really grating my gears so far but we will see

finished the show. i think i liked the story of season 1 better, but parts of this season were okay. some of it was kinda messy though.

Catherine was the best new character. Solomon was more intriguing than i expected him to be
