anyone else going to watch tonight?? i read such a great review on the subway this morning... it seems like all the critics are loving it. and i won't have to change the channel after lost. :)

I did the same thing this morning, in the Daily News the critic gave it rave reviews, I won't be changing the channel.

I'm going to give it a try. However, the fact that reviewers love it really has me worried, since reviewers loved both Kidnapped and Friday Night Lights, two shows I found horribly cliche.

you didn't like friday night lights?? i'm shocked... you're the first one i've heard.

usually i don't put great stock in critics... but this one (the nine) seems pretty universally loved. plus, the promos i've seen on abc over the last few weeks really make this feel dark and fast-paced... which is what i'm usually drawn to in a drama.

I'll check out it out since it's on right after Lost. But I haven't seen enough to make a judgement on it.

I'm a BIG fan of Tim Daly. He's got range that few tv actors have. He can do Comedy, Drama, Satire, and voice work for that matter. If he's the crux character to this ensemble drama, I'll be enjoying it that much more! I'm looking forward to it.

I'm looking forward to this new series. It's seems like a thriller and it got a good review in my paper. I'll definetly watch this after Lost.

Friday Night Lights was very generic, I saw at least the second half of the pilot twice before as Varsity Blues and Any Given Sunday. Golden boy quarterback gets hurt (very weak hit by the way in that scene), bench warmer quarterback comes in and saves the day in the final few seconds of the game and what a suprise the kid has a rocket for an arm too!

Was Friday Night Lights any good? I didn't end up watching it.

Same here. Any with Daly is worth watching. Even Mrs. Hyde.

It's a shame that show w/Tim Daly didn't stay on from a year and a half ago.

Because it was completely original, full of quality characters (led by Daly nonetheless), and it kept me interested...

...what was the name of that show?

...Daly was "in charge" of a million dollar PI agency...it came on RIGHT after Lost and Alias.

Yes it was. In my opinion it was the best Pilot thus far. With 'Kidnapped' and 'Studio 60' coming to a close tie in second.

To each his own.

So, best advice- head over to NBC' website and give it a try. Might like it, might not.

It was good if you aren't looking for anything original (like Kidnapped), it takes all the best parts of the past 10 years worth of football movies and uses it as the basis for the show.

/\ That's a good way to describe it.

And that's why I didn't like it, I knew everything that was going to happen before the credits aired. I wanted to see something new, I'm going to give another couple episodes, see it goes in a new, more interesting direction.

As for the Nine, I haven't watched any promos, but the premise seems interesting. Hopefully it's not too much like Lost meets 24, which is what the premise sounds like.

The premise is pretty damn good, but I can see it having Prison Break syndrome. I mean how can this idea really last more than a season without expanding the plot?

Whats wrong with expanding the plot? Plus what if its a lost thing. Where there's a conspiracy going on which will help expand the series. Egan Foot heheh

I don't know about this show. A show that take's place entirely in a simple bank ? This is going to become The Negotiator but TV style. Im watching it but it's eh

Did anyone else pick up on the possible homage to 'Inside Man'?

"Lucas Dalton"

The main robber in 'Inside Man' was "Dalton Russell"

Either coincidence or homage.

It sounds good.
Life changing events,but I'm a sap. :O

"Maricruz!"

And what is it with Audrey always hooking up with people she works with.

Yeah I noticed that.
At least she can keep an eye on them.
