The Nines offers a compelling blur of reality, science-fiction and metaphysical fantasy, as it unfolds in three parts, featuring the same actors in different (and sometimes overlapping) roles. Written and directed by John August (Go, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory), the film stars Ryan Reynolds (Van Wilder), Hope Davis (American Splendor), Melissa McCarthy (TV’s Gilmore Girls and upcoming Fall sitcom Samantha Be Good), David Denman (TV’s The Office) and Elle Fanning (Babel). Produced by Dan Jinks and Bruce Cohen (American Beauty, Big Fish), and Dan Etheridge (Come Early Morning), The Nines is August’s feature directorial debut.

Pretty interesting looking movie and a good choice for Reynolds.

seems interesting.
weird though, Ryan Reynolds was in Waiting..., which became like the bible to me and co-workers at a restaurant i used to work at, called The Nines. i know that isn't interesting to anyone but me, but i thought i'd share anyway.

Has anyone figured out the first puzzle? I thought I had the method for the solution, but it's not working right.

I saw this trailer a week ago. I thought it was just a spin on the Number 23 for a second, then it went on to be very confusing. Not sure if I'll see it yet.

I saw the film at Sundance... When I first saw it, I hated it, one of the lowest reviews I gave out of all 32 films there... but as time has passed, I've thought about it more, and a friend of mine (who saw it too) has discussed it with me, I've come to maybe reconsider.

It's ridiculously confusing, a lot of "WTFs?" even at the end, but it's fairly interesting. I think that's why I'm reconsidering, because it was so unique... but honestly, if you're curious, go see it, it'll be like nothing you've ever seen before!

I think anything dealing with metaphysical is going to leave you with a lot of wtf's. I'll have to look at the trailer later, but I dig the meta physical, sci fi and Reynolds.

I just watched this. Wasn't my cup of tea. The reality tv thing was kinda funny. But making fun of reality tv has been done before...
