With Homecoming in the process of filming and only speculation to go off of, I've decided to make this thread dedicated to Peter/Spidey's greatest adversary aka Norman Osborn/Green Goblin in hopes we'll see him return somewhere in this new series.

With a younger Spider-Man and Aunt May, I think it's safe to say that chain will continue toward all Spider-Man characters in some way, shape or form. With that out of the way, here are some actors that could potentially be the right fit for the character:

Others include:

Then of course there are some who would've been a great fit:

Anyway, feel free to include any that may be missed and discuss what your hopes for Norman are in the MCU!

Bale looks just like GG in that gif you posted. :funny: My three frontrunners would be 1) Michael C. Hall 2) Christian Bale 3) Jake Gyllenhaal

I hope Norman ends up being the big bad of this trilogy too with 1 & 2 building him up; showing him gradually becoming more and more unhinged. He should be the only enemy in this trilogy to go after Peter's loved ones.

In the case I get my wish of Revolori secretly being cast as Harry, this is my vote (Happy to see you included him, PBP!) :woot:

It's just too bad these two are most likely out of the age range:

I have never imagined Bale in the part before, but damn, I can really see it now. Both as the cold and calculating Norman Osborn, and as the unhinged Green Goblin. I think to be able to pull off Goblin, you really need an actor who excels in playing eccentric characters, which Bale has done in American Psycho and The Fighter.

I just want Cranston. Bale seems to be over CBM, and doesn't care for Marvel, so he wouldn't do it anyways.

Cranston on a goblin glider would be way too goofy, and I'm saying that as a big Cranston fan. He's great in realistic grounded movie/tv show and comedies, but I wouldn't be able to take him seriously as green goblin

Huh, where did you hear/see/read that Bale doesn't care for Marvel? And I love Cranston, but I think he's too old.

Yeah, no way Cranston is cast. He'd be fine if they were doing GG in this movie, but if they're playing the long game, then probably not.

Anyways, we all know who deserves the part...

Seriously, the guy is as if Norman jumped off the page

For me, it's between him and Dominic West.

Loving the discussion, guys. :)

My personal pick would be Jake, just because he's grown so much as an actor and I feel a role such as Norman is something he could really embody as years go on.

Most importantly, however, I just really want a Norman Osborn (and eventually Green Goblin) that'll be around for a while, and if any of these could pull that off), I'd be for it no problem.

Literally everyone suggested in here would be a great choice. So many amazing options out there. I hope they end up with a great casting, there's so many chances to knock it out of the park

Bale is sneeking up on me. Top 3 are Hall, Bale and Mcougnhey.

Can't imagine Bale pulling off the crazier side of the character. It's purely my perception of him but… yeah, not seeing it, even after American Psycho (which I think is a different kind of crazy)
